I got an extension based on Non-O retirement at Chaengwattana in january and they asked for one copy, not two.

No, he has no work permit? he goes back every 45 days to Cambodia or Laos for that reason. He thinks the officer made a mistake due to that.

He might be in trouble then if he leaves Thailand without going to immigration in Bangkok first?

He has no visa at all. As a lso he can stay 45 days .

Hello, A friend from Laos entered Thailand on february 21st 2023 by bus at Laos border both his passport and TM6 were stamped until april 6th 2025 instead of april 6th 2023. He is worried because he thinks that when even if he leaves Thailand before april 6th 2023, he might get in trouble with immigration. He says that when something is wrong immigration will ask money from people from Laos, cambodia or else. He is even considering to make a special trip to Cambodia with a visa bus, thinking he would have less problems leaving that way then coming back the following day. What do you think? Is he right to worry and not to leave Thailand with a flight?

Same for me in january 2018. They didn't ask anything except, if my memory serves me right, a copy of my passport certified by my (french) embassy. At that time I was on visa exempt and staying in an apartment hotel. I could not get their application. I got it once I got a Non-O Visa.

Too bad for me then. I thought there were 2 re-entry... one till feb 11th 2023 and a second from feb 11th 2023 til feb 11th 2024 , that the one based on extension would start only on feb 11th 2023 and that it was useless to buy one now because it would have expired next month ???? So I would have had only one re-entry form january 12th and I could have left thailand before feb 11th without losing my extension ?

My Non-O visa expires on february 11th. On january 12th I got a one year extension starting on february 11th Do You mean I could have bought a rentry for that extension on januray 12th ? I understood it would have applied only to the current Non-O visa till february 11th, useless if I do not intend to go out before that date. Thanks

I get a Non-O Visa and then extension using his : I do not need having COMING to a thai bank every month. I just get that letter of guarantee from my embassy.

When you extend your extension of stay, your current extension hasn't expired yet. I thought that in that case the re-entry would apply only to the current extension you are extending and not the new one.
