Wonder if they send someone pretty out to measure my tool?
If she's a Thai girl then she'll more likely use the chainsaw to cut your tool off!

Could it be that Pattaya Immigration is the most friendly as they have realised the town depends on foreigners and tourists for income?
Or could it be some Russian mafia persuaded them it would be good for their health if they complied?

Lady Roadrunner makes the same complaint.
As for Immigration. Every office and every IO is different. My experience of Pattaya is they bent over backwards to help, with cute little schoolgirl temporary staff offering to fill out the application form for me! I nearly fell over in shock!
Chaengwattana will be the acid test, and it will likely take 4-6 hours, not 15 mins!
I wait to see what the new chief is like.
Bottom line is, we exist at their whim here. How could one contemplate buying property or even a car or planning retirement under such circumstances?

Very nice of you, a very happy dog, I guess he flew in the cargo hold? I might be moving to Thailand and have 2 cats, any suggestions on a Airline
Airline is not the problem except they have varying restrictions on pet carrier size. Don't send em by cargo as many freeze to death in the hold. You are allowed up to two animals hand carried on board.
Before you do it, check if you can get them back into your own country when you want to return? Some countries have quarantine laws.
Also check Thai regs, they may want a health certificate.
I would think twice, moving a cat from its home usually does not go down well with the critter!

Hyundai had my car for months.... no parts. You should have seen the loss of face when I walked in there with the parts.
Honda told a friend they wanted 32,000 B to fix his car. The BS they came out with. If you don't know about cars they will rip you off. We got it fixed at a none Honda garage for 4000 B.

Please remember that you're paying for the " name " and the fancy all singing/dancing razamatazz.
The quality and experience of a Consultant..general doctor and nursing stall is of paramount importance..NOT the " posh " name.
CheersTrue, but for my condition there is no one at the Govt hospitals. I am forced to go private.

You can still write. Post a letter to the President of Toyota Thailand,
Mr. Michinobu Sugata
Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd.
186/1 Moo 1, Old Railway, Samrong Tai, Phrapradeang, Samutprakarn 10130.
Kept it polite and request his assistance. That should light a fire under your dealer.
Toyota Customer Contact Center
Telephone (66) 0-2386-2000 24/7 service
(or 1800-238444 Toll free for upcountry, fixed line only 24/7 service)I once worked for Toyota and the above is where I would start.
I heard Viriyah insurance are one of the better ones, but you could CC your letter to them.

Total bill was 350bht, including emergency room treatment & 2 months of meds. The private clinic that sent me there didn't charge me at all. (60bht urine test, 90bht hospital services, 86bht hospital supplies, 50bht foreigner charge, 60bht two months medications)
Don't feel I was overcharged, how much is the NHS prescription fee these days?
Jesus Christ! Looking at those prices, where was this.... Nakhon Nowhere?
I just spent 60000 B at Bumrungrad, and that was just for lab tests.... there is more expense to come!

Da Roadrunner has worked for five car manufacturers and owned a garage business.
The old cars had a separate chassis (pickups still do).
Despite unitary construction, modern cars still have a chassis. Take a look underneath the floor pan, it's just not separate anymore.
Once bent they are seldom ever the same again. Even with a chassis jig and laser alignment.
Chassis jigs are rare in Thailand. What you get is Somchai with a tape measure!
Thais also try to straighten old bent parts when they should have replaced with new. The whole lot is then covered up with plenty of body filler (otherwise known in the trade as 'pudding').

Insurance companies will only write off a car if the cost of repair is more than the value of the car. Write offs are rare in Thailand as labour is cheap.
At the amount you are talking about this is a heavy accident. If the chassis got bent it may not drive straight when finished.
Try the lawyer? They already spent too much on repairs and won't want to write it off but you can put pressure on them by saying you want cash as they have failed to repair it.

Does anyone imagine the DWP are going to fly to Thailand and come looking for you?
Well, if I was working for them I'd put that forward as an initiative. With me leading the team, of course!
Don't worry, if one of them DWP guys comes over well take him down the 'soapy' and have some Thai girl polish his knob. Then send him back on the plane clutching a brown envelope..... Isn't Thai 'culture' wonderful.

What would be the cops reaction if it were the other way around and a foreigner had stabbed a Thai? 500 B fine?
Thailand is just getting far too violent.

I used to have a Japanese business partner who explained they used chopsticks as they did not like the taste of metal spoons. Have you tried eating your Yoghurt with chopsticks?

Waste of time talking to him. He asks questions and rejects the answers he gets because they are not what he wants to hear. Then he slags Pattaya and nobody asked his opinion of Pattaya.
Don't know why he.wastes his and other people's time, it is easy enough to get there and see for himself.
Whatever he is told he will always know different, always know better.
It really hurts my brain..... the sand got washed away... not the 400M Baht... Got it?
Think about it, how much sand would 400M buy?
In case you are wondering rott, I have been to Pattaya.

The whole thing is farcical...
Listening to a man in the north who spoke out freely that he'd sold his vote for 500 baht...
as had many others in his area, he was proud to stand there and say "it was his duty to vote for the man that had paid him" he said it would have been dishonest to take the money and not vote!
But in his mind not dishonest to sell his vote????
Excellent post, but it hurt my brain. Trying to get my head around the warped Thai thought process..... send me some Paracetamol.

I read a face well, gentlemen, I think this ends badly.
