I don't need to prove read anything and the first sentence is just what Thailand is

but you being an apologist don't realize that (or won't)

LOS = land of scams. You can dance around if you like but a swipe is a swipe in your opening sentence..seriously why are you shifting blame on to me ? to funny.. odd how when people fail to make it they start the blame game, happens a lot on TV

Diamonds, every high end watch, breathtaking apartments, top of the range cars - if you're on a low budget these will sadly escape you but claiming BKK has nothing of quality is a bit embarrassing IMO.

Not to mention Noon in Soi 4 !!

You missed the best malls on planet earth and a train the pulls up to their front doors with a fantastic choice of restaurants and food courts

BUT you forget to mention NO history, NO discovery, little sport, very few news channels etc.

I understand but Im paying 700 baht now with loxinfo internet and 399 baht for 4g with limited gigs with AIS monthly

If i switch to an AIS all inclusive I get play box for free and still pay 300 baht less per month for internet and 4g

This for a condo I rent out on air bnb so not to fussed but it suits my needs

First of all you do not know what you talking about second I came to Thailand for

business and third I did not trash Thailand and fourth you better learn how to read

huh ? You better learn to proofread ,you took a swipe in your very first sentence. Seems to be standard procedure on TV when relocating.

So your were not interested in Thai pussy, fair enough...

  5. "the USD vs the THB. Today sitting at 30.67, up a little from last weeks dip at 30.05. At one stage in 2022 it’s predicted to drop to as low as 28.67. Against a weaker USD (compared to the THB), both the British Pound and Australian Dollar are predicted to drop in value against the USD as well. This puts them buying 5-15% less Thai Baht in 2022, according to this date"

Bang on as the trend continues and all we can do is follow trends regarding the short term future

Yes but 90 % of the things you buy in Australia are imported, so a weak OZ dollar means things cost more.

SO Bangkok should be a lot cheaper being one the strongest currencies on the planet.

strength of currency does not have much to do with it

    • Cost of living is the amount of money needed to sustain a certain standard of living by affording expenses such as housing, food, taxes, and healthcare.
    • Salaries should reflect the higher cost of living in more expensive cities like New York City.
    • The cost of living index compares the cost of living in a major city to a corresponding metropolitan area.

Most will simply go back their home country  in case of a severe illness. for a broken leg surely a thai and a Vietnam hospital can fix it!

Not to Australia if your out more than 5 years you lose 100% of medicare entitlement and why do you assume all severe illness allows you to physically get on a plane. Countless conditions need top level care just to survive short term

My biggest issue is not so much the broken and delayed trains. Morning commute is crowded but ok. Return is often insane. Packed with clueless tourists and Thais with their phones sticking out of the heads. If everyone could put their phones away for a few minutes I bet 15-20% more people could squeeze on. Then there are the idiots who absolutely refuse to move away from the door. It's very, very stressful.

Sad so many can't be alone with their thoughts for a few minutes.

If your on at those times either your a school teacher or totally insane otherwise the rest of us stay clear and travel in between those hours if needed

  9. What hospital is jammed up with uninsured old men?

Many of us are hoping Thailand will see it is causing great and unnecessary problems for expats and itself.  Posts like this really do not help.

I think it's clearly not a coincidence that Thailand is imposing mandatory health insurance for non O visas of 400k and 400k seasoning for OA

Why are they doing it is pretty obvious. Stop blaming the Thais and start blaming expats who abuse the system

And what is your problem exactly? The 800k or the 65k or health insurance?

If you have them then why are you complaining?

Frankly, I quite like having my BP checked at regular intervals, just makes sense to monitor it over time, so I welcome the test if I ever have reason to go to hospital or a clinic.

I bought a machine years ago , not expensive and check it regularly at home. Could be years between hospital visits .

Congratulations, Thailand. You now have the most overpriced currency in SE Asia (if not the entire planet).

Great for us that sold up and transferred cash to a thai bank regardless of the thousands of posts saying never even bring 1 baht into a thai bank and leave money at home where its safe ????. None of those bar stool wiz kids have admitted they got it wrong..funny that . I love TV !
