Recently a thread about BKK Said the bib impounded 50 bikes for noise pollution.
It's a start but will it be just another 24 hour crackdown..-

Put yourself in the landlord shoes. You run down the deposit then leave trashing the place. It's laughable how renters put themselves on a pedestal... Trust me as landlord there are many humans living like pigs!Maybe it is illegal, I don't know, but would that stop 99% of landlords from doing it? No.
Anybody try to illegally run down the deposit as rent with me will get lift access, water and electricity cut. Done it a few times already
And if that fails there is option B. I wouldn't go there put thais won't hesitate. -
Along with prostitution, no helmets, modified exhausts etc etc etcIsn't that against the law here?
I didnt know it was that easy to make. Where to buy preservative free grape juice? -
Vietnam is By far the worst. Cambodia and thailand pretty bad.Wait and see, I am dead sure you will be vastly disappointed. Apparently you are unware of the consequences of protest at this moment. Maybe this will open your eyes:
What more needs to be said really.
Sometimes there is collateral damage to avoid civil unrest or in Thailands case a civil war . The martyrs new what they were up against
Reading through the posts on TV it's pretty clear farang want to see blood spilled. Why you guys would want to see your host country descend into chaos is beyond me but then again lot of weirdos on these boards i-

End of the day this topic can be spun a hundred different ways but the real clincher is hardly an adult protested against the army
Don't kid yourselves that they are cowards the red vs yellow shirt chaos shows they will fight.
Imposing western democracy on thailand shows the immaturity of many posters and I hope they have leaned a lesson or 2 over the last 4 years-

Sounds more like backtracking by you and others. Already given up because you and I know what the result will be when the Thais put it to vote5555 no they won't. Unless he rigs the results. Landslides are the department of PTP. Pray tell, if he is so populair, why are they desparetely trying to gain an unfair advantage in plain view ? Seems to me, you are way out of touch with reality. Maybe you spend more time on that bar stool than you care to admit !
Strange though you guys were such fighters and now you all have tail between legs already admitting defeat. What a wasted four years of posting.. You will never learn or understand whilst you cling to your western version of democracy for Thailand.

The Thais will vote him in by a landslide. And when that happens the bar stool Political analysts would have done a TV special... Disappear to other threads where they won't look as sillySure, as long as the country is peaceful. That human rights are being violated is not your concern. That Thai people cannot voice their opinion freely and without fear of prosecution is not your concern.
Many of the "keyboard bar stool warriors" and Thai people alike have been asking for this illegitimate government to hand power back to the Thai people, with a free and fair election, a fully elected senate, and no outside control by people that have no mandate.
The fact is, what we are getting now is an election, where parties to this day cannot freely campaign, even though those elections are just about 2.5 months away. They did not asked for a fully appointed senate, appointed by the very same criminals currently stealing the country blind. No-one asked for a 20 year roadmap, that future elected goverments have to follow.
But as long as the country remains peaceful right ? At the very least, your post perfectly idicates what you feel about your hosts. I personally believe that no country deserves these kind of guests ….

You have lost it. Disney or sea world??I also wonder why...have those tourists never seen a mall before? Or a temple?
Guess they come to see the madness down the roads, or the sexy girls who are not prostitutes but pingpongball artists.?
There's nothing in BKK which is so beautifull i would recommend to others. There are no tourist attractions like Disney or Seaworld or good museums/shows/parks...It's too hot, dirty, overcrowded, dangerous, full of scams/traps...and the nice neighbourhoods are closed for strangers so they can only see the filthy streets, can't even walk around on the sidewalks safely.
Bangkok is so disconnected from that world I'm shocked anybody could use it in the same sentence.
Bangkok is still mysterious and exotic to the west especially.

Why would you wash a car before a road trip? You have it back the frontDrove it to Bangkok. That's a year of driving without any trouble. There is a God in heaven. Pity it rained all the way since I had washed the car for the trip for the first time in 6 weeks without rain.
Never mind cloud seeding. If your area is suffering a drought pm me and I will come and wash my car there for a reasonable fee. -
I would say the smiles you were getting from 20 year olds gramps was a sign of awkwardness when they were being stared down.Burma is just starting to figure things out. I was there for 4 days recently. I have to say the women were beautiful and many of them walking around Yangon. I got smiles from many pretty young girls and spoke with several just chit chat as their English is not good.. I am in my 60's they were in their 20's. I think the place is a gold mine. Probably like Thailand was 40 years ago.
The problem may be for you (which I think is actually a positive) is that not many have phones. They cannot afford them.
Go there in person, walk around and check it out. A short ways outside the city the place is totally 3rd world. I bet for sure the girls in the city would love to meet a foreigner.
Sorry but that's the truth-

Nonsense. Last top spot was issued by mastercard... Burmese and loatians with a mastercard???Before you start shaking that table, you should know that cambodians. burmese, laotians, vietnamese who merely crossed the border to feed are counted as tourists and they make up over more than 40% of the total figure, then next is chindia, which accounts for another over 30%... The actual figure of legit tourist is very depressing. Do your own research, see for yourself.
Stop being lazy, do some research instead of looking silly

Pot is antisocial. If you ever been around pot heads they as boring as f***I have never smoked pot. However, the way I understand it is pot smokers are far less dangerous than those who abuse the legal drug, alcohol.
Alcohol when drunk normally is a far better buzz

Police will do nothing Its a civil matter. How can he get access to another person's tax records? There are privacy lawsMaybe inform her that you are contacting the Inland Revenue people, (or whatever it's called here), and tell her you are checking whether she is/or has been paying tax on your rent, including your deposit. Tell her you are contacting the police, all relevant agencies and that you will have her property blacklisted - then tell her your lawyer is a red-hot wizard from Bangkok.
It might put the fear of god into her, and it might not. But hey - you won't be going out without a fight....-

Most of the posts on all the threads are farang proclaiming that their "close circle of thai friends" all despise the juntaAfter organising a one-horse race, getting a massive start, building up a big lead, they are now allowing other owners to feed their horse and start training. Guess they finally believe they are so far in front they cant be caught! If that's the case having a head start means nothing. He is so despised they will be wiped out by a landslide
But now posters are saying he has a huge head start and to hard to beat?
Is that like having a bet each way?

I do 40 mins on the gym bike every morning. Walking barely gets the heart rate up. But still I never gives bike guys a single baht. Just need to walk to a connecting baht bus but oddly it's easy from soi bukaho to central but getting back there is no direct route
My advice is to walk , it's only 10 minutes away .
Walking is good for you.

Top of peak season at Central festival.. 200 baht to soi Buakhao.

As usual the bar stool Political analysts come out swinging without understanding the process. Exit polls alone will provide an indication during election day
