  1. Sorry I don't understand.  Or are you trying to be amusing at my expense? If so why? Its a valid question. Where do you live in Pattaya? Is there an organic shop near you?
    His being serious
Of all the things that Pattaya has to offer, organic food would be on the bottom of the list
It's supply and demand. The expat population are not exactly doing yoga and clean living and the Thais could care less about it since all their food is bought in 20 baht plastic bubble bags

you might want to try bangkok
  2. And brits keep saying buy property in the UK and not thailand

Well the yanks ate humble pie when their houses got smashed and thailand unaffected. And the headline of this thread could mean the UK will follow very soon with a crisis. If it were me I would be selling property and liquidating stocks NOW! and not when the masses do

Australia is already in burst bubble mode.

  3. Do people actually click on the ads?  I don't look for any products, I don't buy any products.   I don't click on any ads.  Maybe they get money if the pages I look at have the ads banners.  But the site is really bad from a speed and functioning point of view.
They sell based on forum traffic. Once someone pays for an ad it don't matter if it gets clicked or not, TV has the money in pocket

  4. Thonburi. I have Talat Phlu BTS  500 meters away that takes me "downtown" for my rare appearances in Farangland and to the MRT and to the boats. I have Talat Phlu RR station that takes me down to Mae Khlong. I have Thonburi RR station to take me for my next trip to Nhakhon Pathom. I have the Mall 700 meters away, Talat Phlu street food market 600 meters, Icon Siam 1.5km, etc.

But my question is...dont you leave your neighborhood?
Not in bangkok unless it's the markets. Been here a long time seen Most of it

But I travel a lot, currently in Pattaya for a month or I would hop an overnight train to chiang mai or udon or to Samui

So probably the only times I need a taxi is arriving there to hotel
  5. In another article by the Nation the PM has been rather clear about it:
“Election campaigning must be done within a set framework,” General Prayut said last Thursday. “Permission must be sought on a case-by-case basis and for certain matters. We have to find a way to keep the country peaceful, or chaos will break out before we can achieve democracy.”
I would only go off the official announcement on this thread

"the regime cited the need for the public and political parties to campaign freely for the upcoming election as the basis for its decision"
  6. While it's true he has a head start it's also true that he has 4 years of exposure which is either an advantage or disadvantage.

You guys claim he has driven thailand into the ground and if that's true the Thais will see it to in which case he will return to the army

  7. Actually given the oversupply of condos in Bangkok rent is often the better way (not to mention other benefits of flexibility etc).

The rule of thumb is that annual rent is about 5% of capital value. On this basis, there are some very cheap rentals available.

I say this as an owner of a house.

Sure rent out in bearing where expats are forced to live due to budget is going to be a lot cheaper than where I have my condo on lower Sukhumvit.

Try getting cheap rent between Asoke and Nana.

Anybody can point into the distance and say there is cheap rent 30km that way based on Capitol value however capital value is low for good reason

  8. The quality of life depends on the liver!
It's such a powerful organ. From the age of 15 to 40 I drank heavily every day and double on weekends without a break.. Ever.
Then had to do a blood test and scared the hell out of me. Perfect! In normal range. Unbelievable
