Thonburi. I have Talat Phlu BTS  500 meters away that takes me "downtown" for my rare appearances in Farangland and to the MRT and to the boats. I have Talat Phlu RR station that takes me down to Mae Khlong. I have Thonburi RR station to take me for my next trip to Nhakhon Pathom. I have the Mall 700 meters away, Talat Phlu street food market 600 meters, Icon Siam 1.5km, etc.

I am in Pattaya at the moment and the shopping centres are staggeringly empty, including the vast new Terminal 21. See a lot more Indians in my hotel than Chinese (the opposite of last year) and get the impression they are not as big spenders as some Chinese..

Try getting cheap rent between Asoke and Nana.

Anybody can point into the distance and say there is cheap rent 30km that way based on Capitol value however capital value is low for good reason
