If you deny there is no traffic problem or too many uneducated people in BKK you have eye-problems i guess....
They even can't repair a tire, can't cook an egg, even don't have any manners by bringing crying babies in restaurants....
Even when i let my wife tell the waiter to fry my egg well done they won't do it...don't ask me why.
You are also part of my problem, i can't be bothered to meet farang with rose tainted glasses who are only here for the cheap sex i guess....but even that is cheaper and better in europe if that's what you like.

Not much good when you die early due to complications from inhaling all that crap.Where my friends is perfect in this world? Cars, motos, buses, lorries everywhere, uncontrolled, esp in Asia. Populations grows in size and desire to live in cities. Tourists from large population centers (China) coz untold disruption of traditional values and confound property values.
This place, Thailand, is better than many countries, but not without faults. Weather, air pollution, poor public service and lack of democratic opportunities are real but don't affect me very much.
Important, TO ME, is the low cost of housing and food, the easy-going and friendly nature of the locals, the many fruits and vegs available, the numerous golf courses nearby, the very good and affordable medical/dental care, and the generally warm weather.

You are the problem. You blame everybody else for your unhappiness and expect a developing country to offer 1st world service but at 3rd world pricesThat's another big minus of Bangkok, having dogs..i would love to have some but we don't because of the traffic jam (never know when you arrive home) so we don't buy a dog. We have nice parks here and a garden plus house.I never worked in thailand but i'm used to efficiency. Now my motobike has a puncture, takes 6 hours to empty and they can't fix it at my honda dealer...and a new tire takes a week to order (they say) but 2 years ago it was the same and after 6 weeks i still didn't have a new tire so i brought them myself from europe. It all is soooo crappy in BKK, if my wife didn't work here we would move tomorrow but to where i don't know. Probably to Europe again. Bangkok is far overpriced and very low quality plus far too busy with uneductated people who ruin it all for the smarter ones.
Try getting the aircons cleaned, we've had more than 10 different guys for that and they all let you wait a half day or don't come at all. I bought a wardrobe this weekend, took them 2 hours to find my address and that shop is 10 minutes around the corner. Than they became very rude and made my wife very angry. Low class idiots, everywhere.
So yes i understand why expats leave..i also don't like thai food except kao pad and pad thai...the rest i don't need it but japanese is great.
I also don't visit bars in BKK, they're far away and no fun without other foreigners. Also that skytrain is not convenient at all..only if you live at Siam but i won't live in a condo.
Thailand is far far behind the developed world...if they wanted me to work here (i've been asked for robotic teacher) i even want a higher salary than in the West. And still then i would loose too much time in traffic every day so i would need a very nice car plus driver or i won't do it.
Glad i don't have kids or dogs, in BKK it would be terrible to see them sitting in traffic jam all day long or not getting a decent life. And the education standards in thailand are far far below par.
Best thing for you is go back to Europe and educate yourself. I bet you will be back here within 6 months!!

The best vegetarian place in Pattaya is Five Star J in Pattaya Tai, not far from Friendship .
You might want to ask the owner, a German where he gets his veggies from. I would be surprised if they are organic.
And I would recommend a meal in his restaurant, it's really tasty food, even vegetarians in Bangkok travel here to visit his place .

They nailed it with BKK T21 although it's almost at the point of being uncomfortably busy throughout the whole mall and gourmet market long ques from 6pm till closeI could not find the low cost food court area as compared to the one in Bangkok where there are scores of food stalls around floor 5. On what floor is it? In the Pattaya T21 there were a few indifferent places on the ground floor. I found a good steak house selling grass fed beef so I ate there. But I won't be rushing back.. Eat there most day but now do a 11am brunch only after that the food court is packed untill late

But veganism, vegetarianism, organic food consumption is rocketing the west and so it will here eventually. As for the Thais: they might see it as a potential burgeoning market. Just as they have with natural herbal cures and as they are with seeking to control the rights over the medicinal use of medicinal Thai marijuana.
Im in Pattaya ATM but live in BKK and gourmet market and other supermarket chains do have organic but it's a different demographic so there is a bigger demand
