I'm looking for a restaurant and not a market.. I will have a lady with me but not a Thai. How about a least touristy place.

Are there any good seafood restaurants along Patong beach? Something other than the usual tourist traps with customers who will never eat there again anyway.
So, any suggestions would be helpful.

"Take about a week"
I was going to arrive on Monday but now I will have to cancel my flight. I don't want the huge hassle of filling in the TM6.

Does anyone know if Jungceylon shopping center in Patong is open? Google says it is permanently closed.
What I really need is a full service AIS shop near Patong Beach which is or was in Jungceylon.

Thanks every one. I have mobile banking which works. Also, I only have B578 in the account. Before I lost the card I sent an electronic transfer of B1000 into BB. Then I withdrew B500 from an ATM in the Philippines.
I guess I will just go to the Patong branch when I get there and if all else fails, I will be going to CM 10 days after Phuket.

I left Thailand 2 years ago but I still have a balance in my BB savings account. It appears that I have lost my old debit card. I do have my old, not up to date, passbook. I will be returning for a few weeks in a few weeks.
Can I get a replacement debit card at a branch and how long does it take?
Can I withdraw cash from any branch with just my passport and passbook?
My address will be in a Hotel in Phuket, while my original branch is in CM.

I will be travelling to the Philippines. They need a COVID test result of either an Antigen test within 24 hours of travel or a RT-PCR test within 48 hours. It seems that the testing centers in Bangkok either give a Medical Certificate or a Fit To Fly certificate with different prices. Does anyone know which of these or both actually have a signed statement that indicates that there was no COVID present at the time of the test. I don't want to get rejected at the airport because a piece of paper says something simple like "This person is fit to fly"
Can someone enlighten me please?

If you go on the TP site right now the latest arrival date you can enter is 06 July. That would seem to suggest 60 days.
Thanks

Does anyone know how early can I register for the Thailand Pass? Can I apply 30 days early?

I would just try that site recommended " Dr Donna 's" office is like a Covid testing factory. I think they will get you results quicker if you show up and ask. I was there last week for 10 minutes ( I just needed ATK test) in that 10 minutes at least 10 more customers were there. They are very quick.
I will give them a try. It seems that most of the testing places give one of two types of result certificates. They are "fit to fly" and "medical". I'm not sure what the difference is between them and which one I need for the Philippines.

Except the Philippines. Where they just changed their One Health Pass. There are reports of many many people getting rejected. What I want is more than one day in case I have to reschedule my flight without doing another test.

If you set up an appointment for 9am, you will have your results same day. Have used them a couple of times. They are dependable.
The problem is that my window starts at 1PM so I have to have a result with that time or I loose a day.
When you did yours did you use the standard or express options?

this mob has been recommended in here b4 but I don't have personal experience. online reviews are patchy so caveat emptor...
I just checked it but it seems like the best they can do is 7 hours so I would not receive the results until the next day. I messaged them to see if they have a express express service.

I need to get an RT-PCR test in Bangkok with very fast results and at a reasonably good price. I only see one that meets my requirements but for the 3 hour result it costs B5000. Any suggestions?
We will be going to the Philippines and they require the test within 48 hours of departure but it can only be entered into their system within 24 hours of departure. Many many people are getting rejected so I want some leeway. This means, for me, a test at 13:00 2 days prior to departure with results on the same day.

Grab acccepts both cash and foreign debit/credit cards.
Bolt, which is normally better for transport IME, only accepts cash.
Is Bolt all over Thailand?

You will need the app to book the transport.
Got the app already from when I lived there.

Does Grab Car in Thailand currently accept Cash or foreign debit/credit cards?
I will only be there a couple of weeks so I won't be setting up any new accounts there.

So if you just renew your nan o extension and you want to leave the country then you’re gonna have to buy another 11 months of insurance that seems to be very expensive TIT
I guess you have to plan your trips accordingly

I am hearing two different stories. Are the bars in CM open or not!

This question comes up all the time. Which country is relevant? The country of your passport or the country you live in?

Will wait couple weeks to pay my real estate taxes.
What is the current cost for a Malaysian retirement visa? It used to be very very expensive and was under review.

Did the rapist have a record that vetting would have caught? When they did find him, did he have an accurate 90 day report?

No one mentioned this but you need to be over 50 to apply for the non-o retirement extension. Just a question but what went wrong with the Phillipppines that you now want to return to live in Thailand? If you are ex-US Military you can get a lifelong visa in Phillippines for a depost of $1,500 in P bank and $1,400 application fee.
I have a Philippine SRRV visa. The country is just totally messed up. There is next to zero law and order. People are begging all over the place. In the bigger cities there are slums that are unbelievable. Internet is hit and miss. Very difficult to go between provinces, it can be done with some local places being easy but most being a nightmare. Corruption is much worse than in LOS. They have a mismatch of rules that change frequently without notice. We still must were face masks everywhere and face shields in all public places. Although it doesn't apply to me, COVID vaccinations are way behind. Where I live, Angeles City, people are dyeing do to to lack of hospital beds for non-COVID cases.
But the number one positive thing remains, almost everyone speaks some English with quite a few being very good at it.

Are there still Songtaews waiting near the zoo to take people to Doi Suthep?
