What about moving the current extension stamp to the new passport?

You don't have to leave the 800K in for years. You could use it for your first extension, by the next one you should be caught up with the monthly deposits.
I just went through this in a different forum. Many of the visa "experts" insisted it was not possible to do this. While a few said they had done it.

Was there a fine or you just had to get another TM30? Which, for us renters, is not always easy with some owners not wanting to bother.

It seems some people cannot do 1st time online report while others can. Is it just hit and miss?
Not suggesting the OP is first time.

Foreign deposits (all deposits) will be entered in passbook - the foreign will have FTT code. But for extensions they will likely require a one year bank statement anyhow (obtained from brank branch) which will also have all the information.
But mine were not entered in the passbook but was in the statement (online).

Because that was used to open account?
No, it was done about two weeks later.

Do you use the Bangkok Bank online and/or phone app in order to know what's going in and out of your accounts?
Yes, I just wanted to know what actually goes into the passport, in particular my 65K foreign deposits.

If you've only had the passbook for one month but did not update the previous book for a long time some of the entries will be consolidated, i.e. missed out. If you need a passbook to show all your transactions, for example to show immigration for your annual extension, you need to update it regularly, once every month or 6 weeks.
Both the passbook and the account are only one month old. The update was at inception and exactly one month later with the machine. My 100,000 baht deposit was not entered in the passbook but was in the account statement and entered as a foreign transfer.

I have new BB savings account of one month. When I just updated, first time since I got it, it seems that most of the entries are not present. My account statement has everything that has transpired in my account there. However, with the passbook, there is only a few entries including the correct final balance. The passbook appears to have random entries.
So, what goes into the account statement that does not go into the passbook?

Read ubonjoe post.
You stated......
"....... from the day the one year O is given."
No such animal.
There is a non 0 that gives a 90 day stamp.
Subsequently you can apply for a 12 month extension.
The day you obtain the extension starts 90 day clock.
Thank you. So even though I will have been in the country for more than 90 days, I will not be required to do a 90 day report until I get the extension?

Your first extension is within 90 days from application for extension.
Still a bit vague. One person says start counting from the day you apply and the other from the day the one year O is given. Or does that just mean the O is given at the same time it is applied for?

I get my 90 day O about 30 days into an exempt and will get the one year before the end of the 90 O
Do I start counting my 90 report at the beginning of the 90 day O or at the beginning of the one year O (based on the date of the stamp)?
-
Is there a calendar for this year and if so where is it?

Is there a way to find your TM30 status without going to immigration? For example, you go away and stay in a hotel, are you now registered at the hotel or your original address. Nice to know BEFORE going to immigration.
Would section 38 tell you?

Had no problems getting a new passbook from the Bangkok Bank branch in Central Festival for my account in Bangkok when my old one was full.
NB it doesn’t seem possible to move your account to a new province so whilst they updated my address for me, the account is still considered to be a Bangkok one so I get charged for using Bangkok Bank atms in Pattaya but not in Bangkok.
Thanks, was that recently?

I had a similar situation a few years back. I was told to go where I opened my account due to signature verification. Your home branch is closed? Hopefully, by now they have linked accounts and can verify you at any branch. Be ready to fill out half a dozen forms and probably sign your name 10 times. I wonder what they do with all that paper.
The bank in CM was in a mall KSK. The mall and the bank branch closed last July.

What did the BBL branch in Pattaya advise you to do when you asked them? Whatever anyone tells you here the answer is down to the bank/branch.
Since I am not currently in LOS, they told me nothing.

1st of all I can never find the Banking forum on the list.
I have an old Passbook from a BB bank in CM which is now closed.
My Passbook no longer works in the machine but my account is still active.
I also have a new passport but I have the old canceled one with me.
Can I get a replacement in Pattaya?
I really don't want to fly up to CM to get a new one. And who knows how long I would have to be there b

The letter is generally provided with the NEW passport. Immigration require the letter to transfer any visa/extensions.
The bank needs to be updated or when you are asked for your passport as ID it wont be accepted. You will need to go along to your bank and update by taking OLD and NEW together.
MOVED to Banking forum
My passport was issued in Manila with no letter. I will be getting a new visa so immigration will not be an issue.
Extradition Laws
in Bangkok
Posted
Why extradition, I don't understand, Internal asylum laws should be the only thing that applies. Other than that, normal immigration laws would apply. Just what visas are they using to stay here?
