  1. This would take some doing in terms of military capability
  2. I've been here for more than 20 years – but this is easily one of the most harebrained and ridiculous ideas I have ever seen Thailand's wholly ignorant political class implement. Utter stupidity.
  3. Beetroot powder and Hibiscus tea. Take both.
  4. Be careful what you wish for. They clearly don't spend much money.
  5. He'll be disappointed if he ever goes. Fratton Park aint what it used to be.
  6. Well, I married a Pattaya bar girl 20 years ago. Still very happily married now with two great kids. For those past 20 years we have lived in Bangkok (where I also work). My traits? Ambitous, tenacious, driven, successful, a family man, enjoy being with my wife, always supportive, and love a laugh. Guess you can't generalise, eh?
  7. The truth: 20 years ago I was in the same situation. I had to pay the bar in Pattaya 20k for my girl to get out of the bar. I did pay the money. But we've now been together for 20 years, 18 of those married (all living in Thailand). I guess paying might actually be worth it?
  8. No one even voted for this government anyway. It's a complete sham.
  9. Depends what bank you send it to. In my experience, SCB is by far the easiest and quickest. Bangkok Bank used to be good but now experiences delays. Kasikorn, in my experience, useless. Endless delays with K-Bank when using Wise transfers.

Hello. I broke my coccyx three years ago at Pattaya water park on a slide. In the years since it has improved through lots of lots of specific exercises and physical therapy. But I know it won't ever heal. Flying in planes can be especially difficult. Does anyone know where I can purchase Lidocaine or Lidocaine patches in Bangkok? Thank you!
  11. Xiaomi very good. I have three, all excellent, very durable
  12. Ermmm, the legal basis was introduced in 1972 but it was completely ignored by everyone until Thaksin's first term as PM.
  13. Hello all. I have searched on the forum and can't find a specific situation related to my situation. I would appreciate any advice. We are preparing documents for our planned trip soon. I live and work in Bangkok and hold a work permit. But I have a question on the flight tickets. Do I need to pay for the flight tickets (for me and wife and kids) before I apply for the UK visa for my wife? Or better to wait until after visa process? Any ideas? Thank you
  14. Not true. I regularly transfer amounts of about GBP2,300 to Thai bank account. Takes a couple of mins
  15. All of these tax services companies are all doing the same. It's called stoking fear to drive up business. They think we're stupid.
  16. A couple of Leos does the trick for me.
  17. Horrific. Deeply distressing. And what angers me is that the Thai authorities won't do anything meaningful and effective to prevent these terrible events to happen again and again.
