Exempt from what initially appeared to be a blanket ban on all Aussies leaving the country. Further checking revealed that there were situations which gained exemption from the ban. -

1. Perhaps Greece is one of the countries Australia has a reciprical pension agreement with. If true maybe there's a different agreed process. 2. During the height of Covid some travel restrictions were announced but there were many exceptions to these restrictions for Australian citizens. I was in Oz at that time doing my 2 years. I quickly discovered that Australian citizens who hold PR for other countries* were exempt, also Australians who could prove long periods abroad with approrpriate visa were exempt. *No need to state what country. -

I did it, it's only home detention if you want it to be. I'm a Vietnam Vet, I found a war vets village Nth of Sydney very willing to allow me to rent a small 1 bed apartment for 2 years. The village is enormous (410 apartments and small houses). Every house/apartment has it's own front door onto a well kept garden. On site great restaurant and bar very low prices. Free village bus services to 3 major close by shopping centres, on site well equipped medical clinic. Many other services, laundry etc. Lots of low cost day trips within about 50 km. Very friendly positive residents, all keen to be helpful etc. Big C'link office about 10 min bus trip on the route to one of the shopping centres. Bus stop at the door, drivers pick people up on he way back from shopping. Plus every day video chat with my Thai son and wife and my 3 granddaughters helping them with spelling practice etc. Great 2 years. -
Your paragraph 1 no argument. I haven't seen any suggestion he is 'banned' from travelling into Thailand. Paragraph 2 - Yes he has a lot of supporters, but there's also plenty who see him as 'not the answer', and many who can easily see through his strategy: Make a lot of noise which amounts to nothing more than vote buying. And if it works, get back on Thai soil and drum up an amnesty, and then weasel his way back into power / PM role and get all the charges against him dropped (more illegal activity). Also relevant, Future Forward and it's offshots are growing in popularity and size and in much more professional discussions and policies and no noise about corruption or violence. I know that more and more of my Uni students are moving towards FF etc., ad they can explain good reasoning why they like <deleted> philosophies/policies etc. Paragrpah 3, I don't agree.

So is any of that (your summation is way over the top, I was in Bkk for all of the period you're referring to and lived less than 1 Km away from 2 barricades the red shirts has set up) and valid reason why the paymaster should return to Thailand outside of the law which requires that he be arrested and jailed on site? And remebering that he was convicted and sentenced to jail becaue he had clearly broken the laws. And for the record, no I don't want a military government.

Re-entry at immigration or airport?
scorecard replied to AustinRacing's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
But note that PR holders cannot get an 'exit/re-entry' stamp at the airport. PR holders can only get an 'exit/re-entry' stamp at an immigration office. -
Sure, but who (other than 1 person) could give such an order? Sure Thaksin has dedicated followers. But plentyof them are wise enought to want to follow the laws of Thailand including 'nobody is above the law'. There's also haters and many of these folks would vermently not accept an order to change/adjust/cancel his convictions and sentences, and would very possibly raise some very serious protests. As mentioned IMHO "All this is really thaksin vote buying 2023."

The real owners are very probably rich and powerful and untouchable. Nobody, including prayut would dare to sanctions them, criticize them. Thailand can't even get close to an 'ethical, moral, high values, honest, professional, not corrupt, promoted by displayed high performance main police force. And bottom line nobody is really trying. 'no nonsense fire police' ..... no further comment..... -

Very true, but nobody wants to get serious with the Myanmar army/government. Thai army and Myanmar army are military brothers in lock step, as recently displayed when prayuth rushed to meet and hug the Military chief/PM of Myanmar for 10 seconds, all on video. Prayuth is not going to say anything even slightly negative to the Myanmar general. One angle, the Myanmar military generals and their junior officers and NCOs and their troops are very ruthless and very violent. Is The Thai army ready to do the same? NO. Seems to me if the 2 armies really clashed the Thailand troops would be decimated. How would prayuth explain that to all Thais? He couldn't. So better to leave the current status quo. Leave all the problems unsolved and look the other way. -

Doubt it, and I doubt anything wconstructive will be done for the 10 or even 15 years. -
I mentioned yeast infection because my doctor in Australia labelled skin outbreaks, partiularly around the anus, as yeast infections. I'm not a doctor of medicine so I can't/won't comment further on this point.

Similar description to herpes, which is a yeast infection and it comes and goes, sometimes dormant for weeks, years even decades. If it is herpes need to establish which branch of herpes, not a task for the layman. If it is herpes basic antibiotics not the best treatment. See a specialist. Hopefully Dr. Sheryl will be along soon with some good advice.
