OP states she had to remove all her jewellery she was wearing
She said that she was taken to another room and searched and her jewelry such as bracelet, ring, necklace and earrings were removed.
She said
So it's just the word of an honest law breaking smuggler?
The jewelry in the picture is still in the original picture, where is the jewelry that she was wearing?
Was she even taxed on thee jewelry that she states that she was wearing?

Not on used goods you are physically wearing - and is a product that cost 20'000 baht (500 quid) actually a luxury item? I would wager a 500 quid watch is just a fairly average watch, or a 500 quid gold necklace (1 baht of gold by weight) pretty normal.
Not on used goods you are physically wearing
They were not used goods and she was not wearing them.

This is about protecting the massive amount of tax that Thailand levies on any imports and the well connected families that run the businesses here. - But that will all change when Thailand signs / joins the FTAAP.
Nonsense, this is about smuggling.
It's about a woman who thinks that she is a hi-so and thinks that the rules should not apply to her.
She tried to break the law and got caught.

Of course charge her with import tax, same as every country, not just Thailand.
Not buying her story that the items were pre-used, everything in that picture looks brand new, most of it still has the original packing.

Yes, of course we are. ????

Maybe not related but I asked a German friend if he knew the square root of 81.
He just said no. -
Maybe not related but I took the shell of my racing snail to make him go faster.
But, if anything, it just made him more sluggish...

Maybe not related but I asked my boss if I could leave an hour early the other day.
He said, "Only if you can make up the time."
I said "OK, it's 35 past 50".

Maybe not relevant but I once told Ken Bates that I had never flown on Concorde.

This notion, should it come off, would be the worst thing that could happen for serious smokers.
‘I’m told’ that local weed is already very low quality, if this 0.0000000000002% <deleted> floods the market, it will be easier to get a decent smoke in North Korea.

Mercedes (Nissan) and the Nissan pickup were assembled on the same assembly line, that is why I am interested in your post regarding quality etc.....????
Like I say, I have no direct link or evidence.
However, Motortrend summed it up quite well.

Yes, the Vigo is gone and now a Revo with a different "timing chain" engine..
Have you a link regarding Merc dumping Nissan because of quality issues..?
Re: Merc dumping:
Mercedes didn't dump Nissan, they were stand alone at that stage, so they just stopped producing the vehicle.
I don't have a link about the reasons why Mercedes stopped selling the X-class but I work in the pick-up trade, exporting to customers worldwide and I am informed by European dealers that Mercedes pull out was a face saving exercise.
One was a major salesman for Nissan at that time and through his connections he was able to confirm this.

Mercedes basically used the Nissan truck for their truck offering, though I think now they abandoned the truck thing via low sales (price).
My thought is, Merc pulled one apart to see if it came up to their standard, which it did, though the V6 offering did have quite a few differences..
Yes, the trusty Vigo is a well put together long-lasting ride, but the Nissan is well worth looking into, in my humble opinion....????
The 'trusty Vigo' has not been available since it was replaced by the Revo in 2015, which later became the Rocco/Invincible, dependent on which market you are in.
Mercedes (and Renault) based their pick-up on the Nissan but these had many differences, including the bed dimensions.
The model that they followed was the European version, which also has different bed dimensions that the model made in Thailand.
Also, Europe do not get the latest version of the Navara (2020 model).
The reason why Mercedes pulled out of the market with the X-class pick-up was due to poor quality issues.
The got ripped apart on 'The Grand Tour' for their effort.

I have never spotted lard, Makro I would assume the best place for it? Been using coconut oil for a while now, great for home cooked chips, and seems to last a while
I have never spotted lard
I get it at Foodland or from Lazada.
I know it's not the healthiest of fats but it is needed to make a decent hot water crust pastry for pork pies.

I should like to know if both parties are fully consenting or if this is a forced marriage.
Surely if these flea bitten pests are being forced into this, it must be classed as animal cruelty.
