  1. Since when has medical insurance been a requirement for a 12 month extension based on retirement, ? that's news to me
  2. He has an unusually shaped head
  3. I think the vast majority of Thais have long since given up hope of having an honest and competent government. They are offered a bit of money at election time by the representatives of the various political factions and vote accordingly. My missis got 100 baht off one of them and genuinely did not dare to vote for anybody else "for fear of reprisals" she said, but I think an inbuilt sense of deference , to her "superiors" ( "up people" as she calls them) played a major part. Personally I have long since given up concerning myself, just let them crack on with it
  4. A personal favorite of mine is when they situate the roadblock / checkpoint right after a blind bend in the road, with no advance warning signs of course.
  5. This is a very common fantasy amongst some members of AN
  6. you are partly correct, it suits me down to the ground. I doubt you would be accepted though they don't like your sort here, they don't like your sort anywhere, the clock is ticking, enjoy while you can.
  7. I wouldn't even class him as a troll, some sort of attention seeker maybe, or just plain "special"
  8. your on the system pal they have you earmarked as a wrong'un
  9. Walk being the operative word, you should consider selling your Tmax, whatever one of those is, your card has been marked and your days are numbered
  10. even though you did not have one? They would not say that No they didn't say that either Your entire post is total fictional rubbish, I would be very interested to know why you bothered,
  11. Couldn't agree more georgina, You said you had blocked me, how disappointing that is not the case, do you not know how to? Still no apology for accusing me of being a "closet pedo" ? come on you know you you want to
  12. In the link you posted yesterday to the mayo clinic, the CDC advice quoted there was, well a little different The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends wearing masks if you choose to, and in specific places and situations. In areas that have many people with COVID-19 in the hospital, the CDC recommends wearing a face mask indoors in public. recommends wearing a mask if you choose to ok you go with that then
  13. In the UK it was claimed (unsurprisingly) that covid was a "racist virus" as it disproportionately affected them So its fair to assume that their masks didn't help much either The beards don't help when wearing masks, the men had similar problems
  14. Nobody could disagree with that !
  15. Generally referred to as the good old days too. Seriously I wouldn't worry too much, we'll all be dead and buried before the proverbial hits the fan properly
  16. Did you even read my post , if so what part of ... " As soon as Thailand opened up with the "test and go " scheme I like many people was keen to return . I had finished work about a month before my flight , and fearful of the consequences of testing positive on arrival I self Isolated for two weeks prior to commencing the journey, I live alone in the UK so it wasn't difficult to avoid contact with anybody. On the two occasions that I did leave the house for my pre flight PCR tests ( messed up the timing so had to do 2) I dutifully wore my mask" Did you find difficult to understand ? If I need a lesson from you on the incubation period of Covid I will ask for one I would be very wary of statistics If I were you, they can be very misleading to those who don't fully understand the concept
  17. But you had your Fauci endorsed mask on, at least you should have done, you were totally safe, why concern yourself with those who didn't . Sounds like you were not so confident about your mask after all, Not unlike my self
  18. Ha - afraid of a virus with a very low fatality rate , Do you worry as much about Flu and Dengue, ?
  19. Would that be the same science that now thinks that men can become women? I'm not an anti masker, I wore mine, properly as and when required, I just didn't get upset about those who didn't, and I just didn't feel that safe amongst those who did,
  20. Whether a complete stranger or anybody else for that matter wears a mask does not affect me in anyway, Its entirely up to them, I just remain skeptical of how much protection they actually provide. For the umpteenth time I wore mine as instructed, how does that make me an antimasker? Is it just because i was not scared enough to berate those who's beliefs were different to mine?
  21. So how many times have you been infected with covid?
  22. So as long as you had yours on you were safe, after all its proven beyond a shadow of doubt. I had mine on too, but remained skeptical regarding the benefits. Skeptical enough not to worry whether other people were wearing a mask or not. What I find concerning is people accepting whatever they are told, especially by governments, and agencies connected to them. Masks may well have reduced transmission but to what degree? Do you seriously believe that was the only reason for making people wear them. Can you not accept that it was the government's intention to scare people "witless" despite the likes of UK health minister being caught on tape saying so and that a visible sign of compliance was a necessary part of that? Uo to you as they say
  23. believe what you want, masks did not prevent me and many others catching it
  24. Or even worse , a wrap around plastic visor
  25. The facts so far, I wore a n95 mask correctly pretty much exactly as recommended by the clinic in the link you posted, I was as careful as possible, why wouldn't I be? I was travelling to Thailand and from what I had been reading there were potentially unpleasant consequences for those testing positive. Despite me taking precautions I caught covid. Result, Any confidence I may have had in masks as a serious form of protection pretty much evaporated, although I still dutifully wore one, as and when required, no skin off my nose, but I couldn't care less whether others wore them or not Had I not caught covid I would probably have retained some confidence in wearing a mask, and that being the case, obviously I would still wear one as req'd, but still feel no compunction to criticise those who didn't wear masks, why would I , its up to them , and after all I was wearing mine.
