  1. I wouldn't believe a word of anything the BBC says ever again and remember there is no smoke without fire. Your daughter as a nurse should know not take things so personally and furthermore cannot know what is happening in every hospital in the country. I know several nurses in the UK personally and have several friends who are married to nurses and they tell a completely different story and none of them are offended but maybe a bit ashamed. They both also went to great lengths to explain to me that "normal" nurses and indeed most medical staff would generally go out of their way to avoid speaking to reporters. and that the ones who do are generally always politically motivated. their words not mine. The nightingale hospitals were not exactly the fantastic achievement we were lead to believe In fact It would have been a bit worrying if the military had found the task at all difficult, ,especially considering they would need to construct temporary medical and indeed surgical facilities from scratch in a combat situation, often more quickly, and probably whilst under attack even Anneka Rice could have done it with days to spare The big question which was never answered at the time was just exactly who was going to staff them. many of the nurses were at home self isolating or (allegedly) dying of exhaustion at home or even at home in tears after seeing people die ! (unlikely) they even brought one mates wife (and many others) out of retirement to staff the normal hospitals They were built very publicly will the usual OTT news coverage and their only use was as a form of propaganda bit like the embarrassing spectacle of people (often humiliated into doing so by peer pressure) banging their pots and pans with wooden spoons every Thursday night at 8 pm As for Chris Hopson well he is just another one crawling out of the woodwork with a well worded but other wise vacuous statement, as the hospitals were not used and that in itself is hardly evidence of any success on anybody's behalf except perhaps those who where instrumental in expediting the vaccine rollout
  2. possibly something that people should keep at the forefront of their minds (or maybe not) a bit like the magnified images of bed dwelling dust mites that inhabit even the cleanest bed. Best not to worry too much
  3. It was never the case in the UK but despite the constant rhetoric of the health service being "on its knees" or "close to breaking point" that was never actually the case, evidenced many times by investigative journalists who covertly filmed many empty wards with bored staff lounging around playing with their mobile phones. Then there was the famous "nightingale" field hospitals which were constructed to loud applause but never used and later very discreetly decommissioned, stories were broadcast internationally of wards full of dying covid babies !! all untrue, In fact whenever a so called medical "professional" gave one of their fear mongering press announcements you only had to google their name and it would be revealed that they were a member of some politically active group. As far as I can see the Covid situation has been mis managed and mis reported , by all parties concerned especially governments for various, mainly political reasons, to a level that is for me personally, literally beyond belief, I find it very strange that some people who would normally question authoritarian propaganda and government statistics seem quite happy to accept and often vociferously repeat all they are now told I can only conclude that the various governments' "project fears" were actually very successful and (some) peoples compliance is further evidence of that , as when people are scared they look for an authoritarian or "father" figure to tell them what to do unfortunately they have been failed this time. I'm not a covid "denier" but I can spot b/s and exaggeration a mile off, for me its become a case of "crying wolf"
  4. I don't think , in the absence of reliable testing equipment for all, that there is much point in quoting % figures with any confidence, also I would imagine the THC is not uniformly distributed over the entire plant, if you were a grower it would be expected that you sent your best buds for testing, however that would not really possible with brick as it is all mixed up before it gets pressed. From personal experience I don't think there is any significant difference between red and gold foil wrapped brick but I would say that there is good and bad available of both colours I would also say, that what I am smoking at present is maybe slightly above average for brick although it only cost 10bt / gram . If a spliff goes out after I've smoked around half of it I rarely bother relighting it immediately as I'm stoned. A friend gave me a piece of his "gorrilla glue" for comparison purposes and to be honest there was not a big difference, certainly in my opinion not enough of a difference to justify the 80x difference in price Maybe the lower grade brick might average out at 3% but generally I think its much higher So If you know of anybody who is having trouble giving it away please pm me I would happily take it off their hands
  5. 60+ smoked for around 45 years not particularly fit although not overweight but I have had 3 jabs , however they were after my 1st covid infection. You say that they don't admit people to hospital for no reason. but hasn't been my experience in Thailand, i was banged up for 7 days and others I know got a 10 day sentence. all symptomless Many really old people in the village here have had it and only one death (80 year old alcoholic) so yes , my personal experience is somewhat at odds with what is the official narrative promoted by mainstream media
  6. So, the journalist in question saw a 1 minute clip on social media and decided to take a trip to the beach ? why ? did they really think it would still be in progress when they eventually arrived ? And when they got there ( allegedly) the best they could come up with was a kind of generic "quote" from a speedboat operator ?? I'm doubting that any of this BS is true at all
  7. its quite amazing how some people . some of whom appear to be reasonably intelligent , suddenly start believing what the governments tell them as soon as they start getting a little frightened . It must give them some comfort I suppose
  8. Problem is you are already terrified and you want everybody else to be terrified too, well sorry but i refuse, I might add that I have no real problem with wearing a mask or indeed any other protective measures but I object to these so called experts trying to put the fear of god into people on a daily basis. I've had covid twice the original version and the joke called omicron both only a minor inconvenience I have been considerably more unwell with other flu like viruses many times in the past and with out exception everybody I know who has also had covid has said the same thing strange that isn't it?
  9. Edited 1 hour ago by Snig27 a A common practice for the new breed of scaremongering "experts" throughout the covid situation, and, well most things really
  10. mixed reactions ?? kindly enlighten me some for some against perhaps ? maybe some for and some very enthusiastically for,? and dont forget the "dont knows" some against , some aghast , many possible permutations, so I think for the phrase to have any significance it does indeed require explaining you seem to revel in the proposed restrictions in Amsterdam and you don't even live there , why is that? are you some sort of professional kill joy
  11. " sub culture of activity catering to the drug needs of tourists" sounds very exciting and even though you are not there you are obviously very concerned and would no doubt put a stop to it if you could. What about the Munich beer festival were there are also activities organised around the drug taking requirements of tourists, would you ban that too Its a well established fact that any criminal / gang related activity in this context is a direct consequence of the prohibition itself , that would explain not only the lack of such activity around the Beer festival but also the presence of it where illegal drugs are concerned . So you think Thailand should take a look at that? oh I think they already have, and they decided to do the sensible thing i.e. removed the prohibition and with it any further mafia or corrupt police involvement , Good job it was not down to you to sort it out, Prohibition, regulations, bans etc etc the criminal gangs would love you as would the corrupt police . That solution has been tried for 70+ years and has been an abject and very expensive failure. they also tried it with alcohol once and that didn't work out too well either did it ?
  12. Doesn't actually change the context at all in my opinion the bit that says "While cannabis-related travellers are believed to be high spending and well educated" is not in anyway altered by what follows, although I fail to see the logic in comparing a tiny area in the center of Amsterdam not much bigger than a shopping plaza, to the entire amassed tourist resorts of thailand Also The term "raised concerns" doesn't actually mean anything in reality does it
  13. Not a bad artice, i was somewhat surprised at this bit " While cannabis-related travellers are believed to be high spending and well educated" Not really agreeing with the views of the TVF illuminati,
  14. No I regard it as advisory, what are the anti-cannabis brigade trying to achieve by repeating inaccurate, misinformed and more often than not ridiculous beliefs and predictions amongst a majority pro cannanibis readership Are they trying to convert people, ? because I find that unlikely to be a very successful crusade or is it a form of trolling What I "advised "was for you all to join a thread/ forum that reflects your shared ignorance, a place were "rightminded" people can share their morally superior views and vent their outrage to a readership of likeminded people and get all the "likes" you desire without smart assed replies from irritating pro cannabis types That way the others can discuss the pertinent points of the original post without the constant whinging, irritating interuptions from people expressing their "concerns" many of which are often off topic
  15. THe BS you highlighted can only be the work of the advertising / marketing types I think we can expect a lot of that as they try to justify the extortionate prices
  16. what are you talking about ? nobody is asking anybody to "take up the weed" you are making things up !
