Correct, and without shame I freely admit that along with face tattoos I also have a deep suspicion, almost a phobia, regarding "pierced people" not just a normal earring or two that's fine, but the ones with 1" diameter holes in their ears, rings in their noses and rings in their eyebrows or anywhere else for that matter give me the creeps.

And specifically (from the OP) "is there one idiot that we can point to who shoulder's the blame for choosing slippery tile for bathrooms? " in your own home lol -
I agree with everything you said. Except your opening line. Surely the definition of "normal" implies fitting in with a set of parameters that are common to the majority of people, so most people, ie the majority of people would by definition be "normal." Whilst some people do suffer from depression I don't think it applies to most, and certainly most people are not suicidal even when drunk. It might sound a bit harsh but manic depressives are not "normal" If that was the case there would be a lot more drunken suicides. I'm having trouble expressing myself here but I hope you know what I mean, Maybe if you had said "everybody is not normal" it would make more sense to me Just like you I have a feeling about this story, something is not right, maybe it's because I don't consider those with tattooed faces to be "normal" for a start and being so out of control and accosting others at 5am in the morning is not what I'd consider normal either At the end of the day we will just have to wait and see, but we will probably end up none the wiser

I dumbed it down to help you! I even wrote it slowly so you didn't have to read it too fast, looks like I didn't go far enough, Never mind I'm off for a shower now you should take one too, If you dare If you are unable to retile your bathroom floor why not fit some grab handles to hold on to, either that or nail a pair of speedos to the wall and simply slip into them This whole thread brings to mind Michael Crawford in the 70's sit com "some mothers do have 'em" where he played an inept DIY enthusiast. He was renowned for doing his own dangerous stunts but I think even he would give showering in your house a miss after filling in a risk assessment. Sounds more dangerous than the shallow end of Michael Barrymore's swimming pool -
Sorry I misunderstood who's motive you were referring to. My theory (s) regarding the police's motive ...possibly they were a bit over enthusiastic when restraining him (its not difficult to suffocate somebody if sitting on them whilst they are face down on the floor) or maybe as I speculated in an earlier post he knocked out a senior officer in front of his subordinates causing monumental loss of face and they got a bit carried away with the retaliation. Either way a suicide is a convenient way out for those involved. The CCTV should help clarify if it was indeed suicide

Certainly got me beat, but that's not hard as I'm pretty thick myself, but cleverer than a lot of those who claim to be. At least I don't have a slippery bathroom floor, you should think about that and maybe praise me for my out of character demonstration of common sense -

Al least I didn't specify or accept slippy tiles on my bathroom floor, how many brain cells did that take ? And what did you expect to achieve by posting about your mistake on here ? sympathy? I'd give up if I were you, I think you are out of your depth, Go take a cold shower, if you dare, but please be careful some tiles can be slippery when wet -

Well the "schmuck" only built it, presumably to your spec and you paid for it, and have been prepared put up with it, Rather than moaning on here , why not just change the tiles it really isn't that hard -

To the OP if its your bathroom you don't need to look so hard to find who's responsible for the tiles -
Sounds like he should indeed have been left alone. Being drunk and accosting other people is no reason for any body to class him as a suicide case or reason to have somebody keep him company I'm thinking they had some sort of row on the phone , maybe she dumped him ? "you'll never see your kid again,in fact it's not even your kid " That might send somebody over the edge if he was intoxicated and that way inclined. Who knows ?

I am confused. you wrote....."The last person to see Warney alive was a massage girl who visited his room." But According to the OP He hanged himself in police custody so I think the last person to see him alive would have been the police who locked him in his cell I await your clarification to end my confusion

Strange quote from the GF if you ask me .... "I don't believe he was suicidal" but then she says " i don't think he should have been left alone in "the state " he was in... What state was he in exactly ? Only a bit homesick based on what she has said. If it had been me, I would have expected my mrs to say something along the lines of " there's no way he would ever have contemplate suicide no matter how wasted he was ! I just asked her now and she confirms that is pretty much exactly what she would say Maybe he had prior history of suicidal tendencies, Also a bit strange that he travelled so far just for a face tattoo, All the way to Thailand , alone ! Bet that went down well with his GF Much more to this than meets the eye "Normal" people do not just get drunk and become suicidal, generally speaking

Unless she visited him in the police station she could not possibly be the last to see him alive

Alcohol advertising in the UK is already not allowed to target or be seen to target under 18's nor may adverts feature anybody who appears to be under 25, doubt its much different in any western european countries. This was not the case when I was growing up but I don't remember there being anymore alcoholics then than there is now. although I'm sure there will, of course, be some "official statistics" somewhere to prove me wrong. Alcohol advertising is generally not intended to promote the consumption of it by non drinkers it is more about attracting the existing drinkers of other brands to switch to the product being promoted and that's the essence of the legislation here, protecting the established monopoly in other words. People are less likely to switch from "Chang, Leo and Singha" if they are not aware of the alternatives As for ciggies, I don't remember the last time I saw an ad for them either in the UK or Thailand, but the UK definitely introduced the current plain packaging for cigs well before Thailand did

Alcohol can be advertised in the UK subject to what most would consider "sensible" regulation IE not targeting young people for example. It can also be advertised on facebook (apparently) I am neither a heavy drinker nor an alcoholic, nor am I ignorant of the potential damage it may cause to certain individuals. Most people posting on this thread are aware of the real reasons for the legislation, the bias you mention is against the overt hypocrisy You can discuss this at length during the next meeting of the temperance society with other like minded people There is a very thinly veiled advertisement for "Regency" shown regularly on Thai TV complete with a health warning
