  1. When all this started, if i remember correctly some were charging around 1000 per gram, and astonishingly some people were actually paying that much for it ! Unbelievable, It must be the first time that a substance actually became more expensive after it was legalised , Even 250 baht per gram is, as you rightly say, absolute madness. any body suggesting otherwise is probably involved in the supply, either that or they have just been conditioned to paying ridiculous prices, due to coming from countries where prohibition has artificially inflated the price of a plant which is no more difficult to grow than a tomato plant or any other vegetable, and as such, in my opinion, should be priced accordingly. Likewise if you end up with a bit too much its no big deal to give a bit away to "friends and family" just like when the mango trees all flower together , or just bin it lol Had it never been illegal in the first place, it would probably be sold quietly in the local markets at around 5 baht a bag, by the same old women who sell the betel nuts and accompanying paraphernalia. As far as I 'm concerned that's kind of how it should be. Can't say I'm a fan of the designer, neon lit "dispensaries" Just to put things into perspective , I'm In the Uk at the moment and an ounce of weed is costing me £200 which is not much more than 250bt a gram. It breaks my heart after paying 400 bt for 100g of brick People charging or promoting those sort of prices are not doing us any favours
  2. "Due to stiff resistance from Muslim communities" !! What on earth has it got to do with them ? I doubt its entire communities just a few very vocal conservative clerics
  3. You and all the others really need to let this go. This is of no consequence to any of you, life is too short so move on. Or, is the constant outrage that some claim to feel, really just a form of virtue signalling, desperately trying to convince the rest of us that you would not do exctly the same if you were in his position ?
  4. "Kids" ??? She is 21 a grown adult, they were fighting in Vietnam at 19 the younger generations these days are pathetic
  5. Have you actually been in a hotel ? Have you actually been to Thailand ? You seem to be misinformed
  6. Do you have issues regarding spatial awareness and difficulties judging distances? I'll help you out here, A normal door is around 6 ft high . please explain how that building coukd be anywhere near 60 ft high? I imagine You must have great difficulty parking 60ft 5555555555
  7. not only that, but most in the west have had their common sense gradually removed by endless and pointless "heath and safety" regulations, The younger generations have lost the ability to take care of themselves As soon as they venture out into the real world they are an accident waiting to happen. With their natural instincts eroded they are akin to a Lab-rat that has been released into the wild.
  8. So how much did you donate ? The world seems to be full to the brim of idiots who expect others to bale them out when they mess up , and of course the other idiots who sent money because they thought she was "fit"
  9. No way , its nothing to do with the airlines and its none of their business, people need to look after themselves and take responsibility . There is too much molly coddling by governments and the like in the name of health and safety and this is what we end up with a generation of people who should not be allowed out unless accompanied by a responsible adult
  10. Yes , am certain there is a doctor in Pattaya who, for a fee, will confirm if a girl is pregnant or not. In fact I am sure there are many
  11. according to the linked article..... .Weerakit added that these offenders along with the non-repeat offenders would have to report themselves to the Probation Department to start doing social service work and going through traffic seminars. Some of them would also have their driving license suspended. and even more bizarrely... If the offender was discovered to be highly addicted to alcohol, they would be transferred to medical centers to undergo a 4-month rehabilitation program. I'm wondering, would it not be the job of the courts to decide what punishment would be handed out or have the police been granted special powers ?
  12. what on earth are you talking about??? you are sadly misinformed
  13. You obviously do not understand the question he asked, and I am having difficulty understanding why on earth you posted such an irrelevant comment. Try reading the OP again
  14. Yeah , and I confirm another all too predictable rise in panic mongering is already underway from the usual suspects
  15. Spot on mate , anybody making negative comments about this should look at their own country's pathetic attempt at controlling unwanted or illegal immigration. These guys have a job to do , and they do it . U.K border force could learn a lot from them ,
  16. What has been stopping you ? Why have you denied y0ourself does the missis not approve ?
  17. It will interesting to see what shape you are in when you are in your seventies, if you live that long
  18. Something very fishy about this story, Starting with the opening sentence,. A classic sensationalist headline . "They are the pictures Nobody wanted to see" and then despite the title of this thread I couldn't actually find an actual comment from a single "outraged netizen" Strangely , despite his concern there is no mention of the guy taking the cannabis off the kids, and furthermore if he was genuinely so concerned about the kids ( and the image presented to tourists of course) why did he not immediately contact the police or one of the numerous drug / crime hotlines rather than merely posting about it on social media ? "And there could be fears that people who are still "anti-weed" will seize on such alarming pictures and say "we told you so", notes ASEAN NOW." It appears to me that ASEAN NOW are doing exactly that In my opinion the whole incident and reports are completely staged and false, However it is a fact that feral street urchins do exist in south east Asia and many of them are unwillingly involved in far more unsavoury activities than this
  19. Judging by this and your earlier posts I can pretty much guarantee that you have absolutely no idea whatsoever what Thai youths get up to or what drugs are available to them
  20. Are you expressing your opinion or stating a fact ? Either way you are talking rubbish ,
  21. why are people like you posting rubbish like this , what are you trying to achieve and why ? or whats more to the point who do yiu think you are?? Who appointed you as a moral guardian?
  22. I'm not worried too much as yet, this was shopee on saturday evening
  23. I'm pretty sure its part of some sort of standard psychological control technique , the purpose of which is to promote obedience and compliance and a sense of "belonging" amongst the uniform wearers, and to remind the common people who is in charge. It no doubt originates from the military, who know a thing or two about getting people to do as they are told,. It is no accident that it happens regularly, and I think there is a requirement for them to wear uniforms on days of national significance and when being visited by certain "V.I.Ps" I could never understand the militaries obsession with polished boots and shiny buttons etc but its obviously part of the same control technique , worked well enough in the 1st and 2nd world war to persuade soldiers to leave the relative safety of the trenches or landing craft and run head first into machine gun fire and almost certain death, just because someone in "authority" told them to. So I would guess its quite effective in helping to control civil servants and as such serves to facilitate keeping the wider population in check.
