    You'd be a quick hire as an English teacher lol.

    Maybe better money than you'll be making after your unemployment checks run out.

    in the sense that I'd be over-qualified? So would it be fairly easy to find a job teaching English?

    I believe only education degrees make you eligible for a teacher license. If no ed degree you must complete Thai Masters of Ed to be legal. Big issues with teaching at the moment re: licences, visas and work permits. Although you may be 'overqualified' I doubt you will find just getting a job as a teacher, legally, will be as easy as you imagine.

  2. Thanks a lot for suggestions,  These hats I bought for 50 baht each, very cheap. That's why I bought many to give as presents to my friends for the next Christmas, because they are expensive to buy in Stockholm. They are hand made and very good to use in winter time, keeps warm , woolen hats, actually it is toque, biggin or ski hat. Probably they want me to pay 7 % tax, I hope I can take them with me to Stockholm. When I turn back I'll have in my suitcase 10 kg. dried mountain figs because I love to eat figs very much and I can not find them here. We call them fikon or ficus carica in Latin. I'll see if they want me to pay tax for it too. Rules, rules everywhere, I hate rules. We are not criminals or something.

    I let you know what happened when I comeback.

    Cheers to everybody.

    You can take all the hats, silk ties, silk underwear - anything you want OUT of Thailand... your issue will be with Swedish customs when you arrive home.

    Nice project!

    Hope you get on with it quicker than me with mine!

    How long has yours been in-the-works?

    Depends when you count from!

    I am building one "good" bike from 2 not so good bikes... I bought the first one in September last year, the second one in November.

    I actually got the tools out and started taking one of them apart in January...

    So I'd say 6 months really.

    I'd be happy with 6 months! I've already had a "tool" issue... many rusted/locked fasteners... I need an impact driver and an easy-out!!

  4. I hope that you are satisfied with yourself .. OP. Everyday we turn on the television and are confronted with the carnage of men, women and especially children in Gaza.

    Yet you find it suitable to display an avatar such as yours along with an offensive, supposedly witty, moniker.

    Such crass, cruel insensitivity is not needed on here and so I suggest you start your own "What's On .." website so as communicate with your own trolls.

    Ignominious.

    Please enlighten us rather than frothing at the mouth... what is it you find so offensive about WtFugarwe's avatar?

    As far as trolls go, y'all are the only one trolling.

    I think if you want to really trick it out a single sided swing arm is in order.

    if you can find one nowadays!
    a honda nsr150 proarm makes this bike a great looker!

    Hmmm... I DO like single-sided swing-arms!! Should be lots of wrecked NSRs with good swing-arms about though, no?

    Nope. They have been put on cbr250's etc

    Sent from my XT1032 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

    So I should be looking for wrecked CBR250s etc then, eh!?!? LOL!!

  7. So my list for the seller is.

    1. Signed copy of passport and visa (although if seller not in Thailand I wonder about the visa)

    2. Registration book.

    3. Signed form from Transport Department allowing transfer to take place without the seller being present.

    This has worked for me selling bikes in in three different provinces, all of which were purchased in a different province, and I never had to attend the transfer procedure.

    Additionally I have always made out a simple contract for my own records with a copy of the purchaser's passport. The concern here being that the bike is not re-registered and could be involved in an accident or crime.

    I too have sold vehicles without everything I mentioned... but the items I mentioned are the official legal requirements.

  8. OP here is what you are legally required to provide as the seller:

    1. Signed copy of passport - picture page & visa page;

    2. Proof of Residence - obtainable from Immigration, local police, or your consulate;

    3. Vehicle's book, signed by you as seller;

    4. Thai language sales contract with price;

    5. Power of attorney form (limited to this one transaction) if buyer is in another province (i.e. not Phuket).

    Copies of old and new passports since you have a new passport. Proof of Residence will be an issue for you though. Best to use an agent and swallow the extra cost.

  9. Seem to be a number of middle-aged Thai bike enthusiast around where I live... they grew up on smokers and their kids seem to be into 2T motocross... apparently there are a few old hands around to manufacture chambers and there are still some aftermarket kits out there.

  10. The best way to reproduce your catalogue is using a camera and negatives. Simple job for someone with some old-school tools and the reproduction would be almost identical. Scanning is possible but not as authentic in this case. Please post or PM me a sample of the cover and inside for a better idea of how your catalogue will reproduce.
