I once flew Australia to Bangkok via Singapore. I got my boarding passes for the internal flights in Oz and the international flight to Singapore. For some reason they couldn't give me the boarding pass Singapore to Bangkok and told me to go to the airline desk in Changi and get it there. Got asked for a return ticket or onward flight by the agent in Changi, don't know what would have happened if I didn't have one. Spend the rest of my days in Changi airport? The ticket was booked through QANTAS but in those days the Singapore to Bangkok was with Jetstar. Crazy stuff, but typical Jetstar. Avoid them at all costs if possible.
