How did they determine a value exceeding 620,000 damage to the tree? Doubt any piece of wood is worth that much.

Has your system got a vent pipe? In the west it is mandatory....not so much in Thailand. If you do have a vent, check and make sure a bird or something hasn't made a nest in it and causing a slight positive pressure in the system when you flush the toilet.

If you keep chickens or any other fowl it's a good idea to work yourselves.
