Correct unless you can find a place that syill has some on the shelves from before. It was marketed here in the past. I'm not sure how long ago it went off market.

Off market means the manufacturer no longer imports/ sells it in Thailand.

Dr. Donna at MedConsult  prescribes and dispenses Zolpidem or has in the recent past anyway.  It is the Dactive brand as posted above.

Is that a fairly recent development on the 1500?  Seems like it was always 1000, when I was trying to avoid Lak Si.  It was so horrible, I guess I haven't tried in several years.  They told a friend he could go to jail for ordering a box of cigars from Hong Kong.

I'm pretty sure that a combined shipping cost/product value of less than 50 dollars from the USA is considered personal use and not subject to import taxes.   Tobacco. on the other hand. is illegal to import in any amount without a license.

    hanes will ship here

I did it through Border Free or someplace like that..

Thanks!  Turns out Hanes shipping direct is not too bad compared to Amazon.  https://www.hanes.com/ Two seven packs for 710 and they say that shipping includes all customs clearance charges.  It seems when I order past 1500 baht including shipping customs fees come into play.  That makes sense as that is the limit for personal goods via Iherb etc.

And that is the over and out for my underwear saga....

    Items ฿710
    Shipping  ฿744
    Duties ฿0
    Taxes ฿0

    TOTAL

    (THB) ฿1,454

I just looked at Tesco.. 3 for 179..says cotton, but I'll bet my Chang promo girl it isn't pure.  The higher end is 2 for 199..but says pure cotton rib.. I suppose that is the waistband?  Strange thing is the pure cotton ll bean shirts I buy are made in Malaysia, and last for 5+ years, and are quality pure cotton.. 32 us in the US on sale, likely 2500 thb here.. another reason I don't let the locals near my laundry.  That cotton may come from the US.

I went to Tesco and I can only say that those briefs are miniscule!  A 3 pack of men's briefs should not fit in a sandwich bag size package, at least not the ones I am looking for.  It's looking like I will have to bite the bullet and buy them from Amazon again.

  5. I can find 100% cotton here.  It's just that they all seem to be designed for gay men posing in a sauna (not that there is anything wrong with that).  That is to say none of them actually reach my waist.  They are designed to ride on the hips.  Plus my 37 inch waist is XXXL size, which is rarely offered.

I tried looking at Tesco once but couldn't find anything.  Are they really available there?

Amazon and Ebay's shipping and duty are quite expensive compared to the product cost.  I have bought them from Amazon in the past but the 1000 baht fee chaps my ass.

    Rant over......

  6. Anyone know where to order them or buy them (or a similar Thai product) in Bangkok?  I ordered from Shoppee and the seller never shipped them.  I have lots of potted plants on my balcony and I think the little <deleted> are laying eggs in the drip pans.   This would work.

  7. Anyone have the name of a specific sports orthopedist they have had a good experience with.  I know Samitivej  has a clinic but I'm hoping to find a recommendation for a doctor not a particular hospital.  I'm having some shoulder joint issues I want to have checked out.  No need for advice about it, thanks.  I just need to have it checked out.

I get a fair amount of mail from the US.  Some things just can't be done via email, and some US agencies, are acting like it's 1960.

I've found a wide variance in how long it takes to get a letter.  But rarely is it less than about a month.

    Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think for the last check they shipped them to the US embassy in bulk  and they turned them over to the Thai post office.

  9. I just used the IRS tool "Get my Payment"  https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment  and learned my check will be mailed on the 6th of this month.  I got the first one through the snap of my postman and condo front desk staff since the IRS address system deemed my condo room number and full street address not needed due to too damn many letters and numbers for them to handle.

Please post here if you get yours so I can ask the postman and staff to keep a lookout around the right time.

    Thanks.
