And/or maybe TM6 data mismatches/corruption is a main reason the other line 90 days reporting systems which do require the TM6 number entry does not work for me people.....and immigration knows if they just eliminate the TM6 data checking with the 90 day online report it will allow many more people to report online. Just a guess.....and I know other issues like a passport change and last entry date can have an impact also.
I would just hope the developers of this system took a look at what causes major problems with the two other/previous systems and tried to eliminate the source of such problems in this new system.
But of course an IT programmer may identify and recommend a certain change to improve a system's usability like not requiring TM6 data, but if the immigration HiSo's say "No, we gotta have TM6 data in the new 90 day reporting system", well, the source of a problem gets built into the new system.
Out of curiosity, I tried registering on the old 90 day reporting app a couple of days ago. I've never been able to successfully submit on the website. I entered Thailand in 2007 and have not left since then. I also received a new passport during that time. For the first time I actually got an error message that included some information. It said that my TM6 number was incorrect.
I was able to register and submit my 90 day report on the new web version. It is pending. I also mailed it via EMS on the 3rd and it is due on the 17th. That is not within the 15 days they insist on to make everything more complicated when the online report is rejected. It will be interesting to see what happens.

If you care about your health Ruam Chok Fitness is your best choice….and it’s much closer going there than heaven….
Yes, It is a nice gym with good equipment and a pleasant vibe. Sadly, it's the motorcycle ride there that is most likely to hasten my demise.

Stairs work. It's a different experience though. I just like to get my heart rate up quickly for 30 minutes a day or so in AC while I read on my Kindle. It keeps my blood pressure down and my spirits up.

Does anyone know of a gym that has a stair climber? I know that Virgin has one, Jetts has one and Ruamchok Fitness has one. I really like Ruamchok Fitness Center but it is kind of far from where I'm staying. Virgin Fitness is expensive and I prefer not to go to a mall. Jetts may be the best choice but it would be nice to find another option. Thanks.

I’ve switched to deodorant crystals a long time ago and never looked back. They do the job and they last forever, much longer than a roll-on. A roll-on usually lasts me less than a month whereas those crystals last for months. The brand is called Focal and it’s called Natural Deodorant Stick. I bought mine at Big C, but I’m sure Tesco, Boots and Co have either the same brand or their version of a deodorant crystal. It might look different now because that’s a stick from 2013 I still had laying around. I’m now living in Germany again and I buy much larger ones on Amazon (see second pic, the phone is a large smartphone) that last me easily a year, if I don’t drop it that is. That’s also my piece of advice, if you decide to go down the crystal road, whatever you do, don’t drop the stick on a hard surface because it will break just like glass and whatever is left over will be edged sharp enough to actually scratch your armpits. ????
Focal sells a roll-on and a pump spray as well. Works great for me too. I appreciate that it really is fragrance free. It's not a antiperspirant it just functions as a deodorant.

I believe this is who you need....He did hip work for me, but there were people there with slings & such....
He's the best CM has to offer.....If his schedule hasn't changed due to C19 he's in office 2-3 weeks a month....The off weeks he used to practice in Dubai and Japan, so he's world renowned.....He updates yearly at Boston University....
His office hours are in the evening....
I think this is his personal cell number.... He'll answer any questions you might have ....
Thank you!

Can anyone recommend an orthopedist specializing in shoulders? Thanks.

I buy them directly from Hanes and shipped by Borderfree. Excellent service.

I have however found that Marks and Spencer cotton briefs are an excellent replacement for Hanes Comfort Fit and are often on sale at Robinson/Central.

Is there really an Ethiopian restaurant still existing in Bangkok?
If so can you provide a link?
This place does gumbo at least sometimes. I've had it. It's good.

The Labor Office in Bangkok did NOT require or even mention a syphilis blood test in June 2021 to renew my work permit, only the medical form was required.
-
Luckily I have had the old style with address for the last 15 years but I'm running out of pages and am concerned they will insist on moving to the new one.
I heard some reports of getting a printout from the Bangkok labor office that includes the address to go along with the new style work permit which will be accepted at some places instead of the residency certificate. Has anyone done that?

Whatever model number corresponds the most closely to the US "6" series.
It is confusing figuring out which TCL tv sold here matches the specs of the highly rated ones on consumer reports etc. I bought a 50 inch 6 series and am very happy with it. However it is in my bedroom and has a constant glow on the screen when plugged in. Annoying and a common problem on some models I discovered. All in all happy though.

I've never done it before, but I think I should have a dermatologist do a full body check as lots of age-related bumps and marks seem to be appearing. Can anyone suggest a specific doctor in Chiang Mai? Thanks.

I'm curious if the mass exodus home of working girls from Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket is noticable in the cities and villages? There must have been thousands of sex workers and tourism industry workers returning to Issan

Thanks all for the great suggestions and comments!

Just curious for any feedback about these two places. I'm coming to Pattaya for a month or so from Bangkok and they seem pretty reasonably priced on the various booking sites. Any other suggestions? I prefer Pattaya to Jomtien. Thanks.

Taco Bell in Bangkok does serve beef after a lot of bad publicity. However, no beans. You read that right. No bean and cheese burrito. That just ain't proper!

I did, they said no idea- if you have tertiary syphilis it would be fairly evident.
They don't have to test for it. It's the hospital or clinics decision to require the test.

I have had blood test every time. Its such a minor inconvenience, that i prefer to just do it rather than have a potential issue later. Even the doctors admit having a test for tertiary syphilis is very strange, they dont really understand what, why they specifically have to test for that, but hey ho it is what it is.
Ask the doc why he thinks they have to test for it next time.

Do they issue you with anything to say that you have had the first Jab ricklev?
Yes. A receipt which gives the date of the first jab, which vaccine it was, and the appointment for the second jab.

June 30th, MedConsult's 180 baht work permit health certificate was accepted by the labor office with no mention of a blood test.
I continue to believe that it is not a requirement for the work permit for workers not from surrounding countries and is mostly, but not entirely, a scam by the hospitals doing work permit exams.
Of course some employers have bought into it also and not much can be done about that.
Oops. I mean June 29th. ????

Thai immigration online 90 day reporting system
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted · Edited by ricklev
I wonder how many 2,000 baht fines for late reporting they give out each day in all the various immigration offices.
I'm not saying..... I'm just saying.
