I'm sure the update info is somewhere..... Anyway, I live in Bangkok and was thinking of coming to Pattaya for a few days. Is that still possible? is some kind of registration needed? Is the bus from Ekamai running? Thanks for any info! (I had my first jab of AstroZeneca two weeks ago, which I think means I can go to Phuket on 1 July.)
I was just looking at Booking.com for a room at The Base in Pattaya tomorrow and one of the places had this warning: "In accordance with government guidelines to minimise transmission of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), this property can only accept bookings from essential workers/permitted travellers, during dates where such guidelines exist. Reasonable evidence must be provided on arrival. If it isn't provided, your booking will be cancelled on arrival."

It's here...on pdfdrive.com. Click download.

edit...this says that the connection is not private. Click at your own risk. But I've ever seen this warning for any other document I got from here.
Thanks. Unfortunately that's the trainer's guide not the student's book.

Did you know your phone most likely already has a scan feature. I know Apple phones have a Notes app that includes PDF scan. I would guess that in the Apple Store or Playstore on Android there are numerous free apps to scan. You can also convert a picture .jpg file to .pdf online by running it through a conversion program.
Thanks. I have a printer/scanner if I have to..... Easier just to pay a shop with a document feeder.

Because if it was possible to separate them, to scan in document feeder, and up to A4 size, I'd let you use my scanner and just plug USB stick in it to scan to. If it needs to be scanned by flipping page by page, it would take a long time and the OCR might not be very precise.
Not sure if it's of any use, as I don't know where you are located, might be too far and inconvenient anyway.
Thanks! That's kind of you. It's OK. I can just take it to a shop with a document feeder and let them deal with it.

Successful Presentations. Trainer's Guide
0 / 00 commentsOUP, 2012 - 58 p.Successful Presentations is a comprehensive video-based course for people who need the skills and language for giving presentations in English. It is primarily for people in work or for people who will need to present in their future professional lives. However, it could be used by anyone who needs presentation skills, e.g. for presenting in an academic context or for giving a presentation in any kind of organization. Thanks! I appreciate the time you took. Unfortunately, I have the Trainers Guide. It's the students' book PDF I need. It's not clear from that description that there is a student's book but there's a student's book and a trainer's book actually

Only as images or converted to searchable text? What size are the pages? Can they be separated to be single sheets or does it need to be scanned as whole book, page by page? What quality are you looking for?
Why do you ask? No offense, just curious.

Anybody know where I can scan a short book in a binder to a PDF file cheaply in Bangkok? I would prefer to pay and get a good copy. Maybe there is a kiosk on Chula campus? Thanks!

Update:
Take exit 1 at BTS Wat Phra Si Mahathat. You must leave the platform by the stairs at the southern end of the platform.
Heavy traffic on Chaenwattana due to construction.
Taxi to Immigration 60 Baht. There are also motorcycles.
Well, a year has passed since I first asked about the new BTS station and it's time for my annual trip to immigration. Is exit 1 at Wat Phra Si Mahathat station still the way to go? Thanks!

I used to buy these fake elephant skin wallets in tourist markets around Thailand. for 100-200 baht. Sometimes they had a picture of an elephant embossed on the front. Later they started marketing them on ebay as elephant hide patterned cow leather or something like that. Anyway it was a fine wallet for my purposes. I used to buy a few at a time and replace them when they got tattered. The last place I saw them for sale was a souvenir shop in Amarin Plaza now out of business. Anyone know a place still selling them? Thanks!

Funny. I actually tried to buy the 1790 baht Seagate at Big C Rajadamri today. Unfortunately they could not find the tool or key used to unlock the cord on the plastic box which was attached to the display shelf.
So they came up with the idea that they were going to take the whole shelf off and take it to the cash register where I guess they had some magnetic tool.
First they slammed all the plastic boxes down, literally forcefully knocked them over, to facilitate removing the shelf. Then they dropped all of the plastic boxes with the external drives onto the cashier's table pretty forcefully, at which point I just turned around and walked away.

With the fake external drives that seem to be all over the place, when you plug it in and go to properties, it will show as the advertised capacity, actually a little bit below because it's always like that. But then you try writing a large file to it and it will just not work. There are many videos on YouTube, heres one:
I'm pretty sure I bought it from the actual Seagate Thailand shop on Shopee. If not, with 7,000 5 star reviews and almost 20,000 sold, they earned my money for the complexity of their scam. https://shopee.co.th/seagate_th?categoryId=55&itemId=2309105008

Well, I ordered this from the Seagate shop on Shoppee. Even though I well remember the soft pinging that told me my last Seagate had bit the dust.

Any suggestions for an external drive in the 2-3000 baht range. Speed and security are not really issues. Can I get a 3 or 4 TB drive in that price range? Thanks. I haven't had such good luck with Seagate. WD seems to have bad reviews....

Work permit renewal Feb 2021.
Bangkok. BumRunGrad. No blood test. No problem.
Yes, I went there a couple of years ago also and there was no blood test. (There was an actual exam though, with the doc laying me down on my back and poking at my internal organs at one point.)
How can that be if the blood test is a requirement by the Labor Office?
I'm guessing Bumrungrad realized they could charge the same price for the work permit exam as other hospitals and clinics and not incur the cost of the blood test kit. (And/Or maybe an arrangement was made.)
I think I will ask the officer that does my work permit with a power of attorney to give them a call and ask if I need the blood test.

Actually the Thai part translates as stage three syphilis for which there is no blood test needed because, well Google for pics.......
I'm not looking for an internet fight though. Just curious about the truth. I know the syphilis test was put into place because someone thought that foreign workers from neighboring countries were bringing in a dangerous strain and then hospitals and clinics started pretending that it was a requirement for everyone. This is in Bangkok.

Positively concurred that syplilis blood test is mandatory. No if or but.
People have been saying that its mandatory for years, all the while everyone I know was using Medconsult with no test.
-
In the past the work permit tertiary stage syphilis blood test was not required in Bangkok except for immigrant workers from neighboring countries. All that was required was the docs signature on the form.
The hospitals and clinics saying it was a requirement were mostly just scamming extra fees. I still wonder what the true situation is. Maybe MedConsult had some forms refused.
Bangkok to Pattaya possible?
