Hi, no one is answering OP's question (to which I have the same question!!) - Does any know / use an agency in BKK that does 90-day reporting?   Preferably located in Asoke/Ploenchit/Chit Lom area?

I appreciate that everyone has an opinion of the online system, etc. but when it doesn't work, I prefer to pay someone instead of wasting my time.

    Thanks.

Bumrungrad Office Center at the hospital does it for 650 baht.  You don't need to be a patient. Good service.

The biggest shortcoming with these 90-dayonline reporting rejections is there is no error code to explain why it was rejected.

Back when they implemented the whole system they had to make a decision as to whether notification would be acceptable or if the notification itself would need to be subject to an approval process.   Maybe it was a no-brainer for them.

If you are using passport number + the magnifying glass to pull up previous data then check dates in the report before submitting it.

I had my last report rejected because "visa stay expires" was an old date, I've never had to update that date before, had always been done by immigration office when applying for a new 1 year stay (retirement).

I do use the magnifying glass and did check all the dates.  😞

  4. My online submission has been rejected three times despite being exactly the same as all other ones and my not having visited any place that would file a new TM30.  So there is that...... No need to tell me I did something wrong or that it works perfectly for you.  I have been using the online system since it started with varying degrees of success.  Usually it works.

I mailed it in yesterday but it was 12 days before the due date, not the 15 days required, so they will likely gleefully reject it also.  They have cleverly designed the system so if you receive an online rejection it is too late to mail it in.

Rant over.  I guess I better go in person or have an agency do it for me.  In the past I have use Bumrungrad business office but they now charge 600 baht.  (No need to insult me for not just paying the 600 baht, although I am sure someone will.  Enjoy yourself!)

Any suggestions for a conveniently located agency that does the 90 day reporting at a lower price.  Thanks.

Like most things in Thailand, when they work as expected they're "excellent".

    When they don't, they're not.

Trouble-shooting 90 day report rejections can be challenging.

Currently, a mismatch between TM30 and TM47 data may be the leading cause.

    Office is CW?

Have you successfully used this system before? If so, you used the magnifying glass option to enter data previously submitted?

    What is you TM30 status?

I might file a new TM 30, then try the TM47.

Of course!  I know exactly how to file and there has been no change since my last filing.   I wonder if the men and woman who have the horrible job of sitting in front of their computer all day everyday and accepting and rejecting applications have a written or unwritten quota of rejections required.

Actually, my suspicion is that it is somehow related to the February having 29 days this year and causing some computer glitch.

  6.  Immigration Division 1:

Same address for the last 10 years.  Haven't stayed at any hotels or left the country in the last 90 days.

How gosh darn hard would it be to tell me why it is rejected?

I mean a simple prewritten explanation would take a moment to cut and paste or use a shortcut key.

    Dang blang it......

    Dear .......,

Your application for "STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS" has been rejected.

Please contact the nearest Immigration Office in person immediately.

    Full Name :

    Passport No :

    Nationality :

    Kind regards.

  7. Pun Pun is likely gone forever.   I expect the overengineered bike stands will block the sidewalks for a while longer. However, there are some app bikes sitting next to the deserted Pun Pun stand on Rajadamri  close to the entrance to the park.  You just scan the QR code, set up a payment card and off you go.

I forgot the name of the bike rental app.  I walk past there all the time and see them there.  They look OK, fairly new.  Better than the Pun Pun bikes anyway.

Look up "compoundable offense" laws in Thailand... it explains why it is still a crime to have sex with an under 18 year old even though the age of majority is 15... also there is no allowance in Thai law for the "Romeo and Juliet" defense.

It is only a crime if the parents or the girl file a complaint. No complaint - no crime.  That's all I am saying. And I'm only saying it because it's an interesting aspect of Thai law.

Your reading and comprehensive skills are so sorely lacking... Thailand is not a black and white country when it comes to age of consent... while it is true, in part, that 15 is the age of consent... there are further qualifiers and amendments to this that one should be aware of if they choose to partake with young girls... the information is available online if you should wish to learn... your choice.

You seem to be saying I have some interest in young girls.  I don't.  However, as a lawyer, I have an interest in Thai law.  Please do explain the "qualifiers and amendments" that make my post incorrect.  I am always happy to learn, but I prefer it be without character assassination.

[News for @lelapin and other Bangkok dwellers]

I can now confirm that the 90 days report must be done in person at Chengwattana when a new passport is used, even if you've had all the information shifted onto the new passport at Chengwattana. The Immigration Police Officer insisted the systems (i.e. notification system and the formal transfer of visa and extensions onto new passport) were not linked, at least in Bangkok, and it was impossible to do it online.

I am very aware that at other immigration offices it is possible to do online.

(I have used the online ever since it first began. The only time I had to attend previously was when the whole system collapsed, such as that period during COVID)

I mailed in the 90 day to Chaengwattana, after renewing my passport and moving my visa/extension to my new passport.  I was fully prepared to pay the 2,000 baht fine next time I renewed  my visa as after spending a full day doing the passport transfer I couldn't bear the thought of another Chaengwattana experience . All hope was lost but 5 weeks later or so I received the approval in my mailbox.

Best I could do for a genuine-looking 30410-KPW-901 is 635 baht. But a mobile mechanic wouldn't have the luxury of waiting for one to be delivered from Shopee. So would have to buy one from a local parts store or Honda.

This is the brand they used although maybe not the exact switch.  It says RMT on my key.  https://shopee.co.th/product/36835245/5634045970?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2eKtBhDcARIsAEGTG43cKDKwFg2BET5InLC5RSasRRIe4PQLU-6UGzlfAESnNS_l3LLQNn4aAjrIEALw_wcB

It stops working after riding it and after a few minutes it will come back to the life. This will not be ignition switch. This will be electronics. Something with CDI or rectifier. If it was ignition it would be random, not only after riding it and it would not start working after waiting for a moment.

Each of these parts costs 100 Baht a piece in Lazada and it has a simple connector, anybody can change it. So I would throw at it these parts before non logically changing ignition switch for 1500 Baht.

Too late for that, but they do seem to have fixed it as it worked fine today.

Genuine ignition switch for Honda Wave 125R

    Part number: 35010-KPH-900

    Price: 1028 Baht

    That price is from https://bikerzbits.co.th

Usually the part will be cheaper from your local Honda dealer

It can be a bit of a faff to change ignition switches as often they are secured to the frame with security screws with special heads that require a special tool to remove.  I have a workaround for that but it involves tools that the average DIYer would not have.

Thanks!  So maybe 1500 baht was not outrageous even with an aftermarket switch?  I am curious to know if I was overcharged.

What model is it? Every 2005 model on Honda's parts list site has a starter.

    Honda Wave 125R.

It went full dead at Lumpini Park right after posting this.  I had a mobile mechanic I found on Google pick it up and they said it needed an ignition switch.  They charged me  800 baht for picking it up and returning it to my condo and 1500 baht for the aftermarket (not Honda) part and labor.

Seemed pretty expensive to me given that the ignition switch kit on Lazada sells for 100-200 baht but not much I could do about it.

How long does it actually take to replace the switch and seat lock?

Anyway, it seems to be working OK although I just got it back this evening and haven't ridden it anywhere.
