I have a 2005 Honda Wave 125 with no electric starter. I have had it since new and it is well-maintained, at least to the extent that I can get the mechanics to properly maintain it.
I replaced the battery a couple of months ago, however it has developed an odd electrical problem. Sometimes after stopping it will not have any power at all. No lights, horn, gear indicator lights etc. as though the battery is completely dead. Kickstarting does nothing. Then, after a couple of minutes and doing nothing I can pinpoint as making a difference, the power will return as seen by the green neutral light which was off when dead.
It happened this morning and I put the ignition on and rode down the parking garage slope and put it into third and it started up with full battery power. I rode it to the local Somchai shop and asked them to check the ground wire but he said that was good. He cleaned the already clean terminals and the various connectors, but it is still acting up. Worse maybe.
It does run with the battery disconnected so that must mean the generator is good.
It has no cut out switch on the kickstand.
Any ideas what it could be? Is there a relay to check? Is it possible the battery has a bad cell. He insisted the battery was good but I am tempted to shell out the 350 baht for a new one and see if that fixes it, although the battery is almost new. Actually though, on the way to the shop this morning it briefly lost power when I was riding it and stalled but then started again due to my moving in gear so maybe not the battery....
Thanks.

In the description is written "Support Mini Computer WOS Pro". I am pretty sure that is not the same as Windows 11 Pro. And that likely means that at least some applications, maybe many, won't work on that system. Maybe this is no problem for you, but you should be aware of that fact.
I buy PC (parts) including Intel NUC here:
เดสก์ท็อป / ออลอินวัน / มินิพีซี (DESKTOP / ALL IN ONE / MINI PC) (jib.co.th)
It is definitely Windows 11 Pro. I don't know why they write it that way.

Re your link - Yes JIB have them but
Memory = • Not Included
Storage = • Not Included
OS = • Not Included
so add these on = expensive on JIB = around 20.000+ baht
The Lazada link - Bmax B6 looks a great deal all included + already in Thailand for 7,800 baht with Free delivery
I was already looking at the ' Bmax Official Store'
Yes, that looks good! About 1800 baht more than the one I bought on Amazon but a one year Thai warranty is nice. I'm not sure how well the I3 processor compares to the N95 but it probably doesn't matter for my purposes. And Beelink is reputable.

I bought this on Amazon USA recently to replace an aging PC. Amazingly good and surprisingly cheap; with free shipping and online coupon it was $166 or about 6000 baht total. It comes with legit Windows 11 Pro installed and no bloatware.

My question is if there is anywhere in Bangkok I can go buy another or a comparable mini at a similar price? Everything seems older with lower specs and/or more expensive on Lazada.
Mini PCs! Who knew?

I would try resubmitting it today and if you don't get approved or don't get any response by the last day of the 7 day grace period than it is off to the immigration office. Might work.

I am not quite sure why they rejected my online 90 Day reporting application online. This is the first time it happens and of course, no explanation is given! the email I received is 'ordering' me to go my nearest immigration bureau immediately. The due date is today, 17 January. My retirement extension is due for renewal mid Marck 2024 so wondering if the two are linked ie I have less than three months visa remaining. If that is the case then why would I need to go to immigration? Does it have to be CW where I normally get my visa extension?
Oops. My bad...

Hmmm. OK. Seems useful to me, but I am not going to war about it.

For peace of mind: http://tinyurl.com/4pzd78vk or something like that. They also make more expensive ones that will send you a message, I think. http://tinyurl.com/4pzd78vk

I've got a new passport. Does anyone know if the online system at CW will accept it, or for a new passport do they require a walk-in? (I'm not looking for speculation)
Just to be clear, I have already visited CW to move my visa and visa extension over into the new passport. They have the number somewhere on their records.
Mine was rejected even after I transferred my visa extension to the new passport. Instead of going to Chaengwattana I mailed it in after the rejection but a few days past the due date for mail submission and 6 weeks later received the receipt with my next reporting date. And the next time it was accepted online. I was prepared to pay the 2000 baht fine but it all worked out.

In my opinion Siam Pharmacy at Ploenchit is possibly the best pharmacy in the country. Very busy place, they have just about everything, and I believe their prices are a bit lower then any other pharmacy.
Yes! Great prices, excellent inventory, and helpful service in English.

A bit of a challenge for the Originalists on the bench of the SCOTUS, do they stick to their long held black and white view of how the Constitution should be interpreted or do they bow to the wishes of those who they owe their seats to?
Justice Gorsuch in particular is going to have a hard time squaring that particular circle.
Like Groucho Marx said, “Those are my principles, and if you don't like them…well, I have others.”- 2

Exactly. Most Starbucks in Thailand have very comfortable seating, excellent AC, great music played at a reasonable volume, clean convenient bathrooms and friendly competent staff. I am happy to pay for the experience and so are lots of other people. The coffee is OK, in my opinion, but I am no expert.
I think the Starbucks bashing is really about something other than Starbucks.

Normal toll for this country. As I always point out, it's just a publicity stunt.
Much less dead on clogged roads with slow traffic.
Dangerous are the nights on highways.
The province stats are also of questionable meaningfulness.
Khon Kaen 31 accidents in two days. "Worst".
But it's a one of the biggest and most populated provinces and it carries a large stretch of the northeastern escape route #2.
(no traffic in Bangkok, everyone fled )
You are so right! Why do they never compare it to the staggering toll of daily deaths every other day of the year?

It would be a 2km walk. There are motorcy taxis near stairs of Pink Line GC station to the Imm front door for 20THB. Not sure about getting back to Pink Line tho?
I hope they have the good sense to institute a shuttle bus service for the hundreds of employees and Thai and farang folks who have business in the different buildings in the complex. (Maybe they have already?) I don't want to put my life in the hands of someone who's livelihood depends on getting me to immigration as fast as he can.

I note that it was the Thonglor station that cracked the case. Nuff said...

When i have had a rejection, the email states what was wrong ie a missing field or not matching info, this is at CW Bangkok
Interesting! Mine from CW has never provided a reason. I wonder what is up with that. It randomly rejects mine with no reason and then sometimes accepts a resubmission.

I expect to see those 50 year old (literally) red non-AC buses chugging along twenty years from now.

I just returned from there.
They have a good selection. But less than in Bangna.
Before I visited them, I looked online for some options of the PAX wardrobe. My idea was to see in real life how things look like. I.e. for sliding doors, I saw maybe 70% of the selection which they have online. I asked them and they told me that I have to visit Bangna to see the full selection. And it seems they don't plan to change that.
What I also find annoying it that it seems they insist everybody must walk around their whole shop through all sections to be able to get to a specific section. You want to see a bed? Walk through half of the shop zig and zag and zag and zig. You want to go out again? Continue with zig and zag and zag and zig until the exit far away. I didn't see any shortcuts and the people who work there also didn't know any shortcut. Annoying! But it seems that is a standard feature from IKEA shops.
The IKEA restaurant is in the middle of the shop. Lots of walking to get there and get out again. But it's cheap and good quality.
The meatballs cost about 150THB. Soda water another 20B. Not bad for the middle of Sukhumvit.
Yes, the long meandering walk to the restaurant and then the longer meandering walk to get the hell out of there was really annoying. At Ikea Bangna it is possible to get in and out of the store without a day long hike.

I had a dream last night that I went to pay for something and I had lost my wallet and felt discombobulated. (I am sure that the dream has no symbolic meaning....:)
It made me think that a tracker might be a good idea. Turns out Apple AirTags don't work with Android phones but Samsung offers a product for Galaxy phones called SmartTab2. Is anyone using it in Thailand? I am curious if it works well here. I have a Samsung Galaxy A31 which is a few years old.

Can anyone share exactly where they are buying the Dunkel in Bangkok? Thanks.

By golly, I never really thought about it before, but I am starting to think that maybe he is not entirely truthful. It won't stop me from voting for him though because he is the man my country deserves. (If you know what i mean, and I think you do.)

Since I live in the area (Saphanmai since 2006), I took the pink line two days ago all the way to Minburi and Nonthaburi, I can confirm that at the government Complex station they are building a sky walk all the way to the entrance of it but it hasn't been completed yet. At the moment the shuttle bus or a motorcycle driver 20 Baht, are the alternatives......
I didn't know that there is a shuttle bus. I prefer not to take motorcycles. Does anyone have any further info on the shuttle bus? Thanks!

I have used Foodpanda pretty much every day for a few years now with relatively few problems and I have always accepted any issues with equanimity given the low delivery prices, wide restaurant selection and English format. However, it seems that things are heading downhill with odd screwups happening on a more regular basis over the last month or so. I know they have had pretty severe layoffs and are up for sale and I am curious if others have had the same experiences?
I am not crazy about Grab as they seem intent on only pretending they are interested in providing an English interface and menus.

Honda Wave Electrical Problem
in Motorcycles in Thailand

Thanks. I will have them check the ignition switch next. What's weird is that power is restored without jiggling or moving anything. It just lights up after a little while and starts working again.
