The visa isn't extended.

Must have been quite a funny sight, a bus full of happy tourists oblivious of the flames pouring out of the back as it charged downhill.
Quite similar to Concorde in that they were probably doing the same speed.

Retirement needs health insurance; and 800k.
Posters on here are saying the health insurance is only needed if your retirement visa and extension are an O-A visa.
Though none of them are saying what other retirement based visa and extension there is and why others would still choose the O-A visa when there is apparently another retirement based visa and extension for aliens from most developed world countries.

Insurance is only required if you have an OA visa or extension of the visa. O visa does not require insurance

What retirement visa and extension do people from most developed countries get that is based on retirement and isn't an 'O-A'? Why would retirees get an 'O-A' that requires insurance if there is another retirement based visa and extension that doesn't?

That's up for debate! Most foreigners I see here are with some short dark peasant that Thais blew their beans up then then left as soon as there was a kid.
And not only that, the foreigner was conned into paying a dowry and monthly support 55555 The Thais would give them a shag then kick them out.
When it comes to the women that most westerners end up with here the Thais are laughing their asses off.

Probably Lao or Burmese, just put in foreigner to rally up the old westerners that are desperate to see some farang hate to reinforce their bigotry.

I swapped the power cables, didn't make any difference to the problem.
Possibly the wall socket.
Did you try it with a different power cable in a different wall socket in a different room?

Have you changed the power cable and plug?

Sounds like a loose plug or cable.

The yellow house book has nothing to do with ownership of the property, it is simply a register of where you are living.
You are legally entitled to get a yellow house book here and having the ombudsman on speed dial while at the amphur office, along with printouts of the legally required documents, so that the officer can explain to the ombudsman why they are refusing to give you one will see you receive it rather quickly.
Sorry, we don't understand the issue, please explain it to the ombudsman so they can explain it to us, then call them.

Which is preferable, a marriage visa or a retirement visa?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
So why on Earth does anybody get a Non OA visa for retirement when they can simply arrive, then get a Non O based on retirement in country and not need insurance?
