  1. Hmmm, I made a reply after Sisakt..

Anyways, I didn't say all Thai English teachers were bad, i said many.

There are diamonds in the rough in Thailand when looking for public schools.

And I would also say that just because the King and Queen level classes put out good students, this does not reflect the entire school. Many Thai schools tract their students. The quality of teaching greatly differs between classes and the kids learn right away who are the dumb ones and who are the smart ones and if it is worth it to try. Any school system that has this at the core is not a good school despite where ever their top few classes go off to.

  2. I bought a hard plastic case for my older 4mp camera a few years ago. The case was made by canon and could survive something like 20m underwater. Cost $100 plus 400B tax off Ebay.

I used it snorkling in Krabi quite a few times too.

  3. Or some people don't know about the huge variety of toys that are out there, especially for couples.

I haven't checked out what's offered inside Thailand, but I have my doubts about them offering stuff made of platinum silicone and even if they do these toys range from $60-200 stateside, I'd wouldn't want to know what they cost in LOS.

  4. We had a 2000 Civic EX. paid 8k/month on the note. Fuel was about 3-4 tanks a month. Insurance was 10-12k a year.

We also had the most amazing scooter in Thailand. A purple Chaly with a Honda dream engine. Could fill it up only every 2 weeks.

  5. Ok, I have mentioned this MANY times already. YOU NO LONGER NEED TO CHIP A Wii

Chipping a Wii is a waste of money and leads to the danger of getting detected. you want to "homebrew" it. You can get modified software and then hook up an external harddrive full of any games you want. Nintendo can not detect this, just refuse updates. Furthermore, you can simply update it and remove the homebrew.

Look up wii homebrew channel, hel_l I bet there are people who can do it in CM. My wii has a 500gb harddrive plugged into it and full of games.

But if you really want a chipped wii, 99% of the ones they sell have been pre-chipped.

My best guess for who can homebrew would be the game desk that was on the 3rd floor of Robinson near one of the entrance ways (above KFC). But I've been out of Thailand for 1.5 years.

  6. Being that if you were drunk enough to wind up in that situation you would have a high enough BAC and you would bleed profusely due to thinned blood. I doubt you would wake up...

Now, waking up with a sore ass because you brought home someone who is part way through the process is much more likely.

  7. I've met plenty of people who in 1-2 years of visits (broken up over time) have learned more Thai and interacted on a more personal basis with Thais than many expats of 10years+ Time is not always the best indicator of experience.

  8. In one week it will be 3 years. We dated for 2 months before I planned on marrying her, the next month I was back in the US (on a planned trip) and bought a ring and proposed the next month.

Funny thing is, we dated for a month longer than my parents, who have been together for almost 40 years.
