France is a great choice, except the french. After 3 months you got free social security and It could be a future destination for sure. Italy, not so sure, maybe Croatia?

Croatia could be an option, I think. Not for me, because if I leave Thailand I'm not willing to learn another language.

When my son is old enough to study abroad, it will be Spain, Southern France or Italy. I own already a property on La Palma, but to stay there long time would be as boring as Isan ????

And if right location in Bangkok, you will always bevable to sell.

I know a few popular condeminiums that finished around 2007 in Pattaya, they got the same amount in Thai Baht when selling,

    That's correct.

It depends on the Condo and the place it's on. AAA properties don't lose over the years or even gain.

When I bought my condo, the Euro was at it's top and the price of my unit has increased over the years. I did and do not see it as an investment, but even if I did, it would not have been a bad one.

Try Benidorm in Spain, good weather and sandy beaches. Hotel staff speak English. Cheap booze, full English breakfasts, English pubs. Easy to rent mobility scooters. What more could you ask for? ????

Sounds like a place to avoid under all circumstances :-).

If Spain, then Andalusia. Malaga is a nice place.

But when I leave Thailand I'll go to Southern France (Montpellier) or Toskana in Italy.

Fear is a good thing, and it is a real fear, but I have to aggre with you, if you read the traffic you should bevable to avoid it. You need to be awake and pay attention. I did not have fear, feel fear, I would not have been alive today, but also bevable to respond to fear, and do the right thing to the right time.

Do you feel safe when riding and driving in thailand?

I don't think fear is a good thing. Concentration and anticipation are.

I feel less safe on the roads here than in Europe or even North Africa. Thailand's roads belong to the most dangerous worldwide. But I feel safe enough to drive and ride with my  close to 20 years experience in the land of micro sleep and brake failures

  5. If you are in a good physical and mental condition, an experienced driver by many years, know about the ideal line, the limits of your bike and if you do some hard brake tests from time to time, I cannot see there's a limit by age when you should stop.

After maybe 30.000km on my 125-wave-super bike among the crazy Thais in Pattaya, I even think, I'm a better rider than before. Because here you really learn to be alerted permanently. No Soi where you don't have to be aware someones turning in without looking, no stop at a red light without watching who's behind you.

I'm quite sure I'm not more slow on the road and through curves than ever before, but I'm  more anticipating. Thailand tought me.
