Mr Djokovic should or get a vaccine or not play.. Easy for me
Why? If Australia welcomes recovered people, why Djoko should be vaccinated to be allowed to come? No need to get vaccinated then.
More serious would be, if he made false claims on his application related to his travelling before entry. If that's agains Australian rules, then the tournament will be over for hin, I guess

3 - I am living on $1,500/month easily, but that doesn't mean that I only have an income of $1,500/month! I spend what I need to spend and save the rest. If I need to earn more money, then I open up my online teaching (science) calendar and the lesson bookings roll in. But I don't need to do that because I'm happy with my income right now.
I did not want to insult you or insisting you're a "cheap charlie". I'm just curious if one can live on 11k THB (after fix costs) in Mauritius. This a less 10 Euros a day.

Where are you/they located? Like so many things, it will vary from province to province, hospital to hospital etc. Much needed clarity on policy is rarely given, sadly..

Thankyou for the information, @simon, and congratulation for leaving Erdoghan's dictatorshipt for a better political system.
A few questions:
1. Are you living in Port Louis?
2. Do you "feel" that the island is very populated (+600/km2)?
3. You say you're living on 1.500 USD. After you paid rent, car and insurance, there's not much left. Do you want and can you really live on around 11k THB?
4. You need to transfer 1500USD/month. Must that be monthly or is the requirement 18k/year?
5. How about the language? Is French common? I read Morisyen is based on French. So would you be able to understand and communicate whne speaking it? And how about English?
6. Is fast and stable internet available where you're living?

I hope this is correct. However on a 103FM (Pattaya radio) news item the announcer today was talking about this but mentioned that those over 60 would not be allowed to isolate at home?
My GF and my son were transfered to a "hospitel" after PCR-tested positive on Saturday. Both without any symptoms.
So I would not count on that you can isolate yourself at home

Yes me too, first time I used an agent for a new retirement extension in about 15 years.... I was a bit late this year (usually do it end Nov/early Dec... but a new passport delayed me). Those queues were enough to deter me.....
Did you take a multiple entry? If so, may I ask how much you payed? I thinkt the 10k were quite ok for that.

I suspect all non agent work is becoming less of a priority lately!
I was coming with a non-O from Germany because my 1-year ext. had run out when I was abroad.
Last week for the first time ever in all those years I used an agent just to avoid the crazy queues. I never thougt I would do that, but the 10k for a 1-year multiple entry now seems a good investment to me.

For 90 day reporting at Pattaya's IO, just stop at the desk on your right as you enter the parking lot with your passport and paperwork, you'll be given a ticket and told to return to the same desk the next business day after 10 am to pick it up.
Really? So even for the 90 days you need two visits now? ????

It's a paranoia now, Australian supreme court fixed it for them. Shame that it was handled this way.
Even more shame if the government would over rule the verdict of independant court.
But even if not Djoko will face hard times at the court.

To end this (hopefully) in terms of the UK.
Chomper is correct
In my first post in this topic I explicitely stated that the counting method likely is different in GB. I refered to Germany, nothing else.
I even saw an article a couple of weeks ago where German statisticians demand to adopt the British method for more accuracy.
I should know better, but uneducated clowns claiming I provide false information still annoy me temporarily.

Up to this brain giant, if he wanted to pay 1k THB for his video sessions. Who#s to blame?

When I decided to stay in Thailand for more than occasional holidays, I hired a Thai lady that formerly went to school and worked in Germany.
After 5 months of practizing with her for around 5 hours a day my vocabulary and grammar was quite reasonable, I understood most what people told. Spelling was more hard for me because I never learned a tonal language before and even after many years I've still my problems.
I tried to learn writing but gave up. I'm not painter. Today I can read simply hold articles on websites or newspapers, but not much more.
Over all, I think in daily life I'm getting along just fine.
If one wants to live in a country with a foreign language, he should at least try to learn the basics, imo. I would expect that from immigrants to Germany too.

Johns Hopkins referred to them as breakthrough infections. What misunderstanding do you think I have here?
A breakthrough infection is defined as an infection with symptoms.

A study in Washington state gathered data from over 4 million fully vaccinated people. The data showed a rate of about 1 in 5,000 experienced a breakthrough infection between January 17 and August 21, 2021.
Heaven help. Google the term breakthrough infection and try to understand what it is.
The more of your posts I read the more I'm convinced that the vaccination can cause severe damage to some people's brain.

I have posted the data previously. I also specifically mentioned delta.
Where have you been when math was taught in primary school? sick at home?
But OK, let's repeat some basics:
You claim, one out of 5000 double vacced could get infected.
That would be a 0.02% risk.
Early studies, provided by the producers and based on the alpha variant show a protection rate of -at best- (Pfizer/Biontech) 95% two weeks after the second shot.
The risk now turns up to 5%.
You might have googled it already and know, with delta the protection level of all available vaccines declined.
And now we take a look at the long term protection:All known C19-vaccines lose evectiveness relatively fast. 120 days after "full immunization" the protection level of AstraZeneca is, yes, ZERO. Biontech 47%, Moderna 71%.
Try to figure out what that means to your "1 out of 5000"-BS, or ask a friend who did not miss his math lessons.
By the way: Meanwhile there is omicron and the basic protection-level declined further. Please lock yourself in. You are a threat to my health! ????

Especially in the case of delta the chance is 1 in 5000 without even a booster.
BS. Ever heared of the declining protection after vaccination? I guess not, Google-expert
Novak Djokovic’s deportation has raised the issue of the right to remain unvaccinated

If the rules are, that "recovered" are allowed to enter, the opposite is true:
If he were a "normal" person, he would have entered without problems. But he is a known antivaxxer and that drives the fanatic Vaxxiban crazy
