Ha! Those Thais! Morons!
Should learn from hightech-Germany how to realize such an airport.
Berlin Airport:
Planning started 1997, costs forecast 0.55 Billion Euro
(Partly) opened 2020, costs 7.3 Billion Euro

So now public health policy is being dictated by vets! Couldn't make it up ????
The president of the German RKI, the most influential institute and main advisor to the government related to covid is a veterinary too ????
Germany more and more turns out to be Europe's Thailand.

It was a fair and reasonable assumption based on previous patterns. Nobody was babbling or trying to be super smart. They were just being helpful.
Really?
Quote2 holidays last week pretty dumb to show up today sounds like poor planning.

Quotebecause all the geniuses go on Monday I guess ?
it's hard for a genius to improve when so old...
Very helpful indeed ????
The "helpful" "assumptions on previous patterns" were proven wrong, as you can easily see at the pictures of other days.

If the rules are so clear, why are Thai's being allowed to isolate at home?
That my be discriminatory, but if you're foreigner youknow what the rules are. So they are clear.
Btw: tourists usually have no home to quarantaine in ????

The only thing remarkable about it is the $700 price and the number of 1* reviews.
Amazon don't even bother to say what formats it can display.
There is a bit more about it.
Youl'll find nothing comparable if you want the feeling of writing with a pencil on paper. The handwriting recognition is far better than everything I saw on Windows, Android or iPadOS.
It reads .pdf and ePub.
Do you really believe in Amazon reviews? ????

Actually bookshops, libraries and book sales are not thing of the past at all.
A look at selling statistics of paper and ebooks proves you're right.
I switched to ebooks as soon as they were available. I was tired of filling my bag with paperbacks whenever coming back to Thailand.
Now I don't have an ereader anymore. I use my ReMarkable. It's perfect.

The OP did not realise after four years that there are book shops in Thailand. And, guess what, they sell books in Thai language. How can?
Think I was right with my beer bar presumption. The reaction speaks for itself.
my sincere condolences ????

When they realise they can't kill their citizens with a sub, they might sell it to grateful Thailand

There are some. But you might not find them in the beer bar scene.

My mate in Pattaya says he counted at least 50 farangs and one had a mask on. Another under his chin. Reckless and yet now i maybe will need to quarantine yet again after 3 vax shots and pcr tests. Not fair
It's not only foreigners.
When I had lunch yesterday in Pattaya, I sat outisde and watched people passing by.
I did not count, but to me the percentage of "no mask" or "under the chin" seemed 50/50 between Thais and others

German RKI from Dec 30, page 14:
Additional information is known to some extent for the Omikron cases in the reporting system.
For 6788 cases symptoms are reported. Mostly none or mild ones. The most common were:
cold (54%)
cough (57%)
sore throat (39%)Also interesting:
124 people were hospitaized
4 people died
148 re-enfectedand (I know, to be deleted. "misinformation, "troll post" etc):
out of the 6788
4026 were double vaccinated
1137 of them had already a "booster"
186 were not vaccinated(links in German language are not allowed)

Whenever I'm forced to "visit the family" in the outback, I'm more than happy to be back.
Now no need to go. "I don't travel in covid times!!" The virus has it's positive side effects ????

My GF just called me. After travelling back from Buriram more than three hours, she turns and drives back to where she started.
When she came up with the idea to visit her familiy over new year, I told her, this would happen.
But why listen? "Farang ruu maak"

"After January 10, anyone who enters Thailand would only be able to do so via the Phuket Sandbox."
So all the 90k approved T&G travellers can cancel their bookings. Great promotion for Thailand's tourism.
TAT will come up with a "new strategy" soon.

Really, it's clearly stated in multiple reports that no entry via test & go after 10 Jan....flights, hotel, taxi, PCR tests wasted ????
do you have a source for that? AFAIK the grandfathering of the before Dec21(?) approved T&Gs is still valid.

I think they were scammed, because they are foreigners.
If the rules a clear -and they are, it's no scam. Everybody knows what's going to happen if you are tested positive wile in ASQ.
If one wants to take the risk, up to him.
Phuket hotels desperate as "insured" foreign tourists with Covid denied coverage, refuse to go to hospital - "Hospitel" shortage admitted

And again: The rules to enter Thailand are clear. Tested positive, evcen asymptomatic = hospital.
Also clear: most insurances do not pay for a non-treatment at a hospital.
Everybody's planing to come to Thailand should be aware of that.
