  1. I'm not sure why TM30 is a requirement for entry into Thailand. It's required in many offices for any type of service at immigration offices.
  2. I don't agree. I may have reminded a few members of their place in society that allowed them to live a life of comfort after fleeing 10,000 miles from their home lands and then posting derogatory comments about Thailand, Chinese, or Indians in this forum.
  3. When ever I see "contempt," derogatory remarks towards Thais, Chinese, and Indians (favorites of this forum), I will remind the members their position in the society they live in after fleeing 10,000 miles from their home country for a better life and possibly a woman also.
  4. BS. It's not a SEC requirement, but they do publish (or give press reports from time to time) about their losses due to theft. Target said in May that theft was cutting into its bottom line, and it expected related losses could be $500 million US more than last year, when losses from theft were estimated to be anywhere from $700 million to $800 million. So that means losses could top $1.2 billion this fiscal year. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/target-stores-theft-1.6979493#:~:text=Target said in May that,%241.2 billion this fiscal year.
  5. Sure, why not? People who cannot survive in their own lands and have to travel 10,000 miles for a better life, possibly a woman or a family, to live like refugees in foreign land need to pay up.
  6. But I find ass wiping farangs are moving in droves to find their future brides in all those brothels fronting as bars and then eventually move to Issan and build their mansions surrounded by dilapidated wood dwellings. May be they find cold water in their asses amusing after wiping their asses with paper for years.
  7. There is no severance pay in the US unless it specifically mentioned in your contract or you've got a union job. Severance pay is common in the US for layoffs because most companies make it their HR hiring policy to attract people. Theere is no other labor protection in the US. Of course, there are other type of protections, like firing involving any form of discrimination, sexual harassment, etc.
  8. The same way IOs treat foreigners who have traveled 10,000 miles to find a life in a foreign land living like a refugee (year-to-year contract), possibly using 'wify' visas.
  9. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Does it mean every time a company (e.g., Target in the US) reports their yearly loss due to theft, they should also mention their yearly profits? Or, the insurance industry mentions their yearly loss due to false claims; they should also report their yearly profits and revenue.
  10. I don't worry about paying taxes because I don't stay more than 6 months in Thailand, but now I have to count days to make sure I don't exceed a day.
  11. This may be true. On the two occasions I spent overnight in a hospital, I could have easily walked out without paying. I even ask the billing clerk what happens if I walk out. She laughed and ignored my questions.
  12. I have three bank accounts. There are two in Bangkok Bank and one in Krungsri Bank. I have moved all the money from Krungsri to one of the Bangkok banks. Since 2024, I have stopped bringing money directly into my Thai bank. Instead, I use my ATM and credit cards for all transactions, including 7/11. I don't see any use for the Krungsri bank account. Should I close the account or let Krungsri close it for inactivity? Do you think, in the future, I may need the account? I can't think of any reason to keep it open. Any feedback will be appreciated.
  13. The problem with the third party is that they always aim for the presidency instead of building grass-roots support from the electorate in local elections, state elections, members of Congress, and then senators and presidents. Their first goal should be to capture the speaker role.
  14. When LTR visa holders don't need to file 90-day, I don't see the use of 90-day at all.
  15. For me, the best place is the Eastern Economic Corridor. Easy access to Bangkok; lots of beaches; lots of foods from different places; malls; hospitals; and, of course, bars disguised as brothels and some world-class cannabis lounges not available in the US either (maybe one in Hollywood)
  16. The forum owners like this type of DIY accomplishment story because it makes them rich. And 80% of the members had to still travel 10,000 miles to live like refugees in a foreign land, possibly using a 'wify' visa.
  17. This is a perfect example of how I view 80% of forum members (in the absence of proper data, I am using the 80/20 rule), and their only personal accomplishment is telling stories about their DIY adventures because their voices are not heard anywhere else.
  18. Because they get jealous. They were lucky (not a personal accomplishment) to earn in dollars, but they had to travel 10,000 miles to live like refugees in a foreign land, possibly using a 'wify' visa. Because they don't have any other personal accomplishments in life, I noticed that 80% of members view DIY as a sign of personal accomplishments.
  19. It is good for them to increase their earnings.
  20. My friend drops off his passport and picks it up the next day. His earlier agent used to come to his condo and pick up the passport and deliver it too.
  21. They don't earn in dollars.
  22. I can't speak of Chinese students and their skill levels, but the Chinese are the ones putting up a space station, landing rovers on the moon, and leapfrogging in quantum computers and AI. Even with all the restrictions on acquiring tools to fabricate high-end chips, they were able to manufacture 7nm chips. Give them a few more years, and they will come up with 5nm and 3nm chips as well.
  23. What a croc and lacking comprehension skills! I never said I was sharing with the needy. Please go and read again. I said unfortunates who don't have access to earn and invest in dollars. They are not the same as those who are needy or lack access to food, shelter, and clothing. I'm talking about people who have decent incomes in Thailand but don't have access to earn and invest in dollars. They have the same aspirations as people who have access to earning and investing in dollars, and I'm sure if they were in the US, their median income would be higher than European American's median income. So the only thing they lack is access to earn and invest in dollars.
