By a staff in the embassy ( not thailand ) I have been ask to send my second passport ( by mail ) and they will send it back to my home address ( not thailand ) i will be there few days later to pick it up . travelling with my other passport ! nothing strange to me ...

i have a plasma 42 i look ubc on a 4:3 , sometime if a diffusion is on letter size format i change to 16:9
do not expect ubc to be wide screen .

Cert the post a value , and I am in line with it ! What I find good in this country is the facility of many, just to mention, no need booking for restaurant / taxi available / life easy casual / everyday the same or different or same same but different / decide at the moment what you want to do !
Manly good service and smile in many places: the bank / post office and many other place.
Easy to meet, difficult to trust, easy to died .
Sometime a hiccup happen on the way, experience for living here .
But one think for sure ( for me ! ) need to have some money coming to you and not waiting for a Thailand income .
You have to balance the good and bad! More good for me here as living in Paris / Melbourne / or Tasmania.
Just when I want to see what is my country amiability I go to the French or Australian embassy for few hours you exit with a new love of Thailand..

Once in the Bangkok airport coming back from chiangmai with my mother age 78 and my brother I took a taxi from the taxi boot ( add 50 bahts ) and he went off refusing to put the meter saying it was not working , I temper so much he has to stop , and three of us we have to walk back to the taxi boot , a fare distance .
Was not a good day first Thai airline could not land in mae hong song and let us with no assistance in chiangmai where all the hotel was full , we took business class back to Bangkok .
Anyway I was fuming and when the taxi driver come back on the boot looking haggard and innocent , nearly blaming us , the two girls in the kiosk did not bite to his stupidity and security was call .
Did not have time to see what happen , as they put us into a new taxi .
Can not understand how far people will go !
Now my Thai is good enough for direction and asking simple questions, make life easier at time.
Yellow and green taxi and the one moving as suggest are the best bet !
sadly my mother want to come back , but i refuse , she is 81 years old and could not take risk to see something happen .

i think the French embassy are the only one with free rapatriment ( send back people home ) program.
Do not have to paid them back, but you need to be in a hardship situation .
I will have give to this poor soul to if I think it was genuine !

The only way to watch a widescreen program: is first if it is diffuse / transmit in the wide format , and you go back to your set up and change back to 4:3 .

7- French embassy is a bunch of the biggest <deleted> you could ever meet
i am dual french / australia , i get generally 3*3 month visa from australia ( the last 8 years ) , 2 years ago from the thai embassy in paris i could not get more of 2*2 month visa and it took me a lot of talking . i saw some people loosing the deposit , with no refund policy for some reject application .
for any help do not go there ........

Nota , hello I can talk only regarding what I did :
last year I bought a plasma television 42 inch , I was not to happy with the reception from UBC , I ring them and they came to change the received box for a digital one .
In it you have menu program to change to wide scream format , but you will not get the full scream with it , but no stretched .
The extra cost are around 60 bahts a month .
I find the quality better the last few months .
I plug the digital into my old post and still work .
