  1. I try not to eat out muxh when visiting Thailand. Soup is ok. Have been served undercooked seafood twice. Good enough?
  2. I agree, but this may be conflating the issue, but correct me if I'm wrong.
  3. The USA is fine if you are traveling, but I do see your point. I guess I would avoid for now. I'm in USA with Thai wife with citizenship for now!
  4. I hope most Americans are saddened, but the damage is done. I'm an American, with Thai wife, living in USA. Everyday life feels normal until you read the news. Insanity rules. That's all you can say.
  5. This is all part of the plan to teach (threaten) military members. Remember all those generals brought into a room to get lectured? Word is that they were being scanned to see who was looking disloyal. This is all an assault in what is right to do and civility. I'm a vet, if that matters.
  6. Probably skimmers over there or they used paper receipts or printed a receipt with your card number clearly embossed, thereby exposing your card to anyone with that piece of paper or carbon/carbon copy sheet. There was a Chinese restaurant in Seattle, not too long ago, within last 15 years which printed my card number on the receipts.
  7. Appearances. Once flew Air Tiger that had a contract with the army. They had duct tape around one of the entry doors and struggled to close it. Surely, cosmetic appearance wasn't their primary concern.
  8. The administration needs to work harder to cut people off from SS. I'm sure they have a plan in the works with 3.5 years to go to cut everyone off from "entitlements." I"m in the US, with Thai wife, and can start collecting in a few months. And news of Medicare using AI to ration care. We may be living in a simulation that's gone bonkers.
  9. https://web.archive.org/web/20250829044332/https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/29/business/us-tariffs-shipping-suspensions-de-minimis.html
  10. The government will us AI to determine if you are even entititled to that. I wouldn't get any hopes up.
  11. My wife has been in the states for 11 years now and loves it here. she wants to go back when she retires. She knows she's giving up a lot and loves the Seattle winters and hates the heat.
  12. While not in Thailand, I just make cannibutter as an edible. Get in bulk, cook, always avaiable in the fridge. Bake, then infuse in butter or some other oil.
  13. Probably the situation in many places. People don't behave. People want choice. Watch on phone or at home on tv. Streaming. Other cheap choices. Theaters will mostly be gone in 20 years
  14. HIIT. High impact interval training. But good info for sure
  15. It's great to hear people are generally happy in Thailand. Most don't crow about it online, but live their lives. My wife is Thai and we've been visiting Thailand every 2-3 years and 3 weeks and we are ready to go home to Washington State. On the other hand, we really like Thailand, too. Tradeoffs and we plan to make that tradeoff in a few years. A lot of Thai culture has rubbed off on me from marriage and living with some Thai people and find a lot to appreciate about it. We are usually happy to get home probably because we don't have our own place in Thailand and spend it in affordable hotels and such.
  16. Bad for nature. Disrupt natural habitats, fragment ecosystems, and impede animal movement.
  17. Nick from a YT channel said he's not doing well, but living the best life that he can. Seems he's no longer doing YT.
  18. Should be a reality tv show following the family.
  19. 11 years we hold hands older couple. Some bumps in the road but water under the bridge.
  20. Best to ignore for now: In response, Minister Somsak Thepsuthin confirmed the postponement, highlighting the need for consultation with medical councils and stakeholders. He assured that discussions are ongoing but the delay will not be extensive.
  21. So they say: "We don’t want to scare entrepreneurs," Somsak adds, emphasizing the need for well-thought-out legislation to support business and investment without causing disruption. A little late for that. Cart before horse.
