I’d like to think China is harmless, and can lend a helping hand to lesser nations—but I know better. Just hope lesser nations also know better.
Likely the bribery by officials to get rich and put the needs of the country after that. This is a worldwide problem.

Hopefully, no new bad variants are on the way. Its all possible and we will all have to take a new approach to dealing with it, rather than mild versions that may require an annual innoculation.

You may have luck on finding info on visajourney.com. We used it in regards to wife's immigration to the USA.
USCIS may be slow all over due to COVID. Naturalizations have slowed.

Severe infections and deaths are attributed to Delta which will likely get snuffed out by this new variant. Some people are getting sick from the new variant and hospitalized, but are out of the hospital within 1.5 days. The new variant is spreading like wildfire, is peaking and is expected to drop sharply like it rose.
Things will (should) get much better very, very soon. We can only hope.

I was watching some old videotapes and I said to my partner that Thai people looked more happier than nowadays.. It was in the time of Thaksin indeed, and the country did much better than after the coups we had. But he had to leave in fact for the reasons of non tax paying, and with his leaving the country went down..... and now the Thai people are not happy anymore. Yes it is time to change, but it will be very difficult as long as the army is in charge
Some of it may be everyone having access to the internet and seeing how the rest of the world really lives. Everyone wants better lives and opportunity to do better. When they feel they can't get that...and things get worse with increases in the concentration of wealth...

Seems like fewer serious illnesses, but this new variant is hitting hard and fast, so probably going to spike very quickly then fall. We can hope. And hope we are coming up on the end of the bad variants in the future.

And not to forget the beauty on the inside...

A totally short sighted and narrow minded opinion if ever I’ve heard one?
This virus is going to be with us in one form or another for quite a few years yet and if it doesn’t burn itself out, the only way out of it is eventually achieving herd immunity. However whilst this will take some time, with the use of vaccines and controlled periods of exposure, it is achievable. The virus will mutate and spread regardless, whether it be through controlled/uncontrolled migration or possibly even a home grown Thailand mutation? Therefore to lockdown indefinitely is just delaying the inevitable whilst killing the economy.
What they should have done is stopped thinking that they are far superior to every other nation in the world, acknowledged the seriousness of the virus earlier and invested in some decent vaccines a lot sooner than they did?
The virus is expected to always be with us, likely weakening and annual flu shots available for it.

This current Thai government want it to continue because as soon as this pandemic is over they are over, so many people I talk to have an anger buillding that I have never seen before, they are fully aware of all the billions of emergency budgets over the last 2 years that have disappeared into a black hole called a pocket - there is anger in this country
It's still putting people in the hospitals - nearly all not vaccinated. Hopefully, those numbers are dropping. Less severe, but still severe for many.
However, many of us are all for dropping all restrictions and let things fall where they may. Rip the band-aid off method. Not let this all drag out as many will not get vaccinated.

The government will throw in the towel on their plans by the end of next year in order for travel to return to "normal." Perhaps just proof of vaccination. Three years.

Too bad. Not worth the risk of travel if going with another person or more. An associated story from that link. Same thing.

Next year will be fine. This will be the end of it after probably March or April. Open up! Go back to normal! (with the exception of proof of vaccination and...a test before leaving.)

Implants can be delicate. They should make sure you have enough bone to put in an implant. They may have to build it up before an implant can take hold. And it can be tricky with the angle they have to put it in. I got nine done in the states by a dental surgeon. My regular dentist doesn't do that type of work.

If someone came up to me like that in the States, or anywhere, it would immediately appear they were not normal. Nothing better to do than to leave the area and the situation.
