"You are required under Thai Law to carry your actual Passport at all times."

That is just not true, anyway, even if it was law I still would not carry mine all the time, as I just don't agree with it.

Imagine the headline, "Farang jailed for not carrying his passport". I do carry my driving licence and pink card though.

same here. Even before pink card or DL I never had my passport with me in over 20 years. Never was asked for it anyway. Never been asked for WP either....

I wait until I scare myself in the mirror and then go to a one lady shop. The chair is near an open door. She isn't the best. She isn't the cheapest. But it seems safe enough.

Near to the the door, so you can run away?? 55555

TWO fully Vaccinated people caught the Delta variant....

OMG............i hope this motivates more people to search for some special vax that protects us from everything.   Now I'm thinking one more year.........crazy.

The vaccines , seem , to be fully operational ONLY after 2 weeks upon the 2nd shot; Just imagine how many people infected by any virus may be walking around in the hospital where you get vaccinated.....

Much much greater risk for a person over 60 to die or suffer long term disease from Covid-19 than from any vaccine. Take whatever brand you can get ASAP. You may be able to boost with something else later.

Try boosting with some Lao Kao.. ( just kidding )

In your home town, people pay a lot of money to live in the "nice" neighbourhoods. Phuket is/was more expensive than pretty much anywhere else in Thailand. But it's "nice".

Less mongers, less beggars, a huge selection of 5-star hotels. Post-covid, perhaps things have changed.

You give a perfect description of Pattaya..

If you have a multi entry B visa then usually you can stay in the country until the day it expires.

I did that, when I worked for a company.

However, if the company insists on marching you down to immigration in order to terminate your visa on the spot then this would be a very different scenario. This is highly unlikely, IMO.

You will have to return your work permit to the company on your last day at work.

I was always under the impression WP's have to be returned to MOL..

Hasn't made any difference, apparently. I saw a doco on, I think, Al Jazeera or BBC. Chinese saying it was too expensive to have more than one , and women want a career and not children ( like, I believe, also in Singapore and Japan ).

    That seems to be correct..

well they are about that - but that is why we like it !!

now seriously. do not move to thailand unless you have a good economic reason, like job offer or business opportunity. the dangers are not visible and you are too young to handle them.

you will need lots of guarding angels to gain from thailand. so listen to your parents until you

are too old to listen to them (in your 40s),.

Yes, keep all the good things for us so keep out newcomers..... 55555

They are all a pain in the a$$.

Single is the way to be -- especially in Thailand! That's my only advice to the OP.

I came here at 22. It's been 15 years. No regrets, except getting hooked up in a relationship.

And I've had relationships with a school teacher, a wedding planner, a hair stylist, as well as barmaids and waitresses.

Don't let anyone try to fool you: there ain't no difference; they are all trouble!

Aren't they all over the world? 55555

And I also didn't mention: W ( watt )/V (volt )=A ( amps ). Where this is important is that( in the  USA vs the rest of the world ), due to lower Voltage the Amperage goes up. This again being important because the Heat induction is not Linear but logarythmic.

    Everyone follow??????

My apologies to the ones reading this. Yesterday I used the term ' logarythmic ' whereas it should say : ' Exponential ' . Experiencing some IT problems for the moment, my brain was confused....

Yes, I know. That's why I brought the requested photocopies.

I tried to give them over, but was told that they didn't want them.

This was at the Karon Orchid.

As usual , I'm sure you know. Same IO , requesting ( demanding ) Xtra copies of different Documents, never asked for before, going back the next day they don't want them....
