My comment was total sarcasm and directed at the subject of the snippet I quote from the article - and the fact that these morons continue to let their ‘giddiness’ cloud their ability to think things through toward at least a reasonable attempt at resolution.

I’ve known a few poor souls who’ve contemplated ‘making an exit of their own choosing’, because they lost all hope. Most, but not all, worked in the tourism industry.

Fortunately, no one I know has taken that final extreme step, though I can’t help but wonder about the overall impact it’s having on friends and family of those who have made that terrible choice or even those who are considering it.

I know and also look Th news channels,

There very small and uncomfortable.   Thats my opinion.  Maybe your a contortionist.  For the same price or cheaper I'd rather travel in an air conditioned sedan.

No need to be contortionist if he travels alone..

I have exchanged the yellow book (which is issued initially) for the Blue house book and Pink ID card....... done for my condo in Bangkok..

Possibly, but what would be the advantage if you are not Thai or PR your name is not registered in the Blue book....

It's foolish to travel to a province without asking entry requirements. All Thais know that.

If you don't know whom to ask call TAT in that province,  they will know whom to ask. Many provinces have covid hotlines.

But in the end, you have to have your Thai partner (or whoever you are going to visit in that province) ask Phuyai baan and OSM อ.ส.ม. village health volunteers/the local health center อนามัย.

If you don't have any Thai in that province you shouldn't be going anyway.

For OP,  it would have been his new employer.

Surely TAT is the one to ask,NOT....

I'm in the midst of ASQ in BKK after having returned from Europe last week. I have a booking for a flight to my final destination which is CNX, but I did read some rumours that upon arrival at CNX, they will force me into another quarantine or at least 14 days house arrest. All this after I will check out from here next week, holding a confirmation that I have completed 14 days ASQ and been tested negative for Covid-19. Although it's a 9 hours drive down and up again, I have asked my Thai wife to arrange a commuter to pick me up here in BKK, and she will come along. I hate no-shows for booked flights, but I will advise Thai Smile after departure by bus that I will not fly. I have not found any competent source to reliably advise me what the present rules for domestic travelling are after completion of ASQ and 3 negative tests. Looking forward to be home again next week, and will most likely not travel ever again as long this pandemic is dominating, and the government has zero ideas how to manage the crisis, or communicate in a proper way. Main thing for them is that their Sandbox party in Phuket was nice.

I wish you a nice trip and ' holiday ', very sad and disappointing all this.....

    That's absolutely insane.

    >he was unruly as only arrogance can manifest

Understandably, it's difficult to normalize in any way  the absolute stupidity of putting asymptomatic people in close quarantine together that have traveled only domestically, it sounds like a recipe for disaster if one of you is actually incubating covid after all. Wow

Obviously " Elite Visa Holders " cannot be infected or contagious......

That's nothing Pattaya now has the worst roads in Thiland largely due to their incompetent corrupt capital expenditure projects designed to improve the roads and drainage.  The Romans would be embarrassed by such road building.

No need for Aqueducts in Pattaya each time it rains, better than Romans. 55555

    This is from the CDC:

    • COVID-19 vaccines are available for everyone at no cost.
    • Vaccines were paid for with taxpayer dollars and will be given to all people living in the United States, regardless of insurance or immigration status.
    • COVID-19 vaccination is an important tool to help stop the pandemic.
    • CDC recommends you get a COVID-19 vaccine as soon as you can.

If you are alive, you can get the shot.

    https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/no-cost.html

Every day I get emails from Oregon with announcements like this:

    Event Info
Free Pfizer and J&J Vaccination Event - Hillsboro
    07-09-2021
    Century High School-Based Health Center
    CONTACT: virginiagarcia.org/vaccine

"If you are alive, you can get the shot."    That's interesting.......

Most of us on this forum know the situation, the lies, the stupidity.  And most of us won't be travelling to Thailand until the ridiculous quarentine rules and various other daft rules are removed and bars, restaurants and entertainment areas can open fully. That is the reality.

It is the reality, remains the ones being here...

I am a dog person, and a cat person.

Keeping a dog in Thailand is too heart-breaking for me, we've lost two, and disease is rife in the soi dog population. No way you can stop dogs from mixing socially, unless they are fenced off at all times. Which is unfair, unless you have seven like you do.

They experience the same problem as humans with Covid : mixing socially....

The water use of a Eucalyptus plantation has been found to be 785 litres/kg of total biomass, which is one of the lowest if compared with tree species such as Acacia (1,323 litres/kg), Dalbergia (1,484 litres/kg) and agricultural crops such as paddy rice (2,000 litres/kg) and cotton (3,200 litres/kg).

    Not to mention cows .......
