The passport remains the property of the issuing governemnt, so it should be returned to their embassy in Bangkok - post it in with a copy of the death certificate shoud be ok.

You are correct but do you think any Embassy cares about this??

It's getting weirder. A couple of days ago I went to make a complaint to the police about a robbery. The police weren't interested in my passport for their report, they wanted my pink ID card. It's like some switch has been flicked and everyone wants me to show it now. Got to admit I'm scratching my head.

In some cases scratching your B...S feels better. 55555????

Only two new cases of the in Phuket today.

Actually probably the best province in many ways, higher minimum wage, best beaches etc etc but not for the budget travellers.

They seem to be right on track for the July 1 Grand Opening and any slip ups with new clusters would ruin it all.

And foreigners will want to visit, partly because they have no choice.

It will be a slow start but if they can keep the tourists who do go covid free and safe it will steadily climb.

People will have jobs, business people will start making money and people can enjoy holidays again.

Phuket will be open for couples and families, who are tested and or vaccinated.

The entitled anti masker, anti vaxxer types who won't follow the rules to stop the spread of this B117 variant currently causing the problems on Phuket throughout Thailand won't be welcome.

The pathetically bad Phuket officials also have organised mass vaccinations for the older residents.

They are controlling covid AND reopening safely.

What more do you want mate?

According to reports, they are certainly working in the UK and US, but obviously the unelected "PM" will want to keep money for his submarines and space programme by getting the cheapest vaccines. and not so much the ones getting used in the UK and US.

Sounds good, buy the submarines to quarantine the infected or new arrival of tourists. 55555

So 3 old expats are in the news, with a bar owner who is in a tiny bit of trouble for selling them alcohol.

In 60 days, or in July after the great opening up of Thailand for international Tourism, this will just be another

story of before the great reopening and restart of Thai Tourism.  I just wonder if the first few thousand of new tourists

will be told that there will be no alcohol for their visits?  Just how is this great return of tourism going to be handled by TAT, the Thai government

and other related agencies?  The story just shows that expats are in no way considered anyone special to Thailand.

       Geezer

Why should they be considered anyone special as the goal is to fit in...

Big brother is fine, he won't care what you do.

However with all these tracking devices, GPS on cars computers these days I would like to point out than when visiting Mia nois in curtain hotels these days it is advisable to take the old motorbike and forget your phone.

It used to be so easy in the eighties with only land lines.

    And ladies available. ???????????? 555

Ignorance of the law is never a valid defense. But if the law is not published to the public, in languages that the public can understand, there is no valid reason for punishment.

In all civilized countries the current rules are published, in a multitude of languages, in various well known media. In Thailand it's in Thai, If you can find the original source of the information.

Any important messages in Thailand should at least be published in Thai, Lao, Cambodian, Myanmar, Malaysian and English language. Most European countries publish everything in 15 to 20 languages.

555555. Including Thai and all of the above mentioned.????

Part of what you are paying for there is a nurse on call. Tell her you can't sleep. She may be able to prescribe something.

With a bit a luck she could prescribe her own body. 5555555

And this is just one more reason why I don't want a bunch of remote controlled lights and fans.  A simple wall switch or pull chain switch works fine, will likely outlast the light or fan, and doesn't require batteries.

So you're the cheap Charlie the girl mentioned the other day.  555555. Just joking????
