Agree. I love Morlam and have been to several concerts. Also have Morlam CDs in the car.
If you're in Pattaya, try Red restaurant on the Darkside. Live Morlam band every night and good Issan food too.

Morlam is already in the list. This is about what else.
There are different type of morlam. Not just one.
i love “morlam sing” the most. Listen in the car everyday.

Australia is a country with one of the highest minimal wages. Thousands of illegal Thais there. That's why they can't hand over visa to everyone.
My Thai gf got Aussie tourist visa in 2 days, so probably the problem was on your side.
There are 140,000 illegal Thais just in South Korea
I want a holiday visa for three week. Not a job.
The reason they say refuse is because I finish uni, not get the job yet.
But if I have a job, how can I go? No time.
But bargirl in Patong ok to go if have the Aussie customer.
Stupid embassy.
(I not say your girl is that, but I see other one go, no problem)

But people will only mock it and me if I say what I think about it.

I really don't want to argue with you Yinn. I said your initial comment was a fair one, right? Regarding education costs, It is true there are different costs, but that goes for everyone. In America, if I live in New York, but I want to go to school in California I will pay more than somebody who lives in California. It applies to everyone. When I applied for my visa at the Thai Consulate in America I had to pay first. If I was denied they would not have given the money back. But, if you go to a National Park in America you will pay the same amount I pay. And no, it is not ok in my opinion that you are not accepted to visit my country (and I am free to say that criticism about my country without fear).
Wrong. I just asked my friend. All the aussies paid the same price, live in Sydney or Melbourne. Only the foreigner must pay more.
I believe her, not you. She know. She pay it.

I'm here because I love Thailand and, most of all, it's people. My favourite tradition is the Banfai Pyana festival in Nong Khai. Amazing and shows many aspects of Issan culture.
However, as farangs we are not exposed to these unique Thai cultural traditions on a daily basis. The unique Thai traditions that we normally experience are:
Bribing a policeman to escape a drink/driving conviction.
How many time that happen to you?
QuoteRiding a motorcycle without a helmet, in a country that is 1st in the world for road deaths.
I dont do that. But if someone else do it, up to them, not my business. Are you are policeman?
QuoteHazing in schools.
Happen to you? Or not. Happen to me, I not cry, fun and make you stronger.
QuoteMilitary juntas.
What you going to do about that? Please do it!
QuoteMen fighting 6 against 1.
Muay Thai.
How many times six Thai fight you?
When farang army fight, they check is fair fight first? Or fight to win with nuclear, etc?

Is this thred topic for negative comments? Other threds talk about negative. Why you need to say negative HERE?

My friend go to school in Sydney. She paid 640,000 baht. The local price paid 35,000.
i tried get the visa to visit her, cost lot of money to APPLY. And waste time to go to Bangkok, and 20 page of document. Want to go for 3 week, but they make me pay for 3 month.
They took the money, but not give visa. Not give money back.
How much the visa for 3 weeks for you come thailand? How much document for that?

About our culture that we are proud of. And none of you know about.
Maybe your culture is to ridicule, mock, criticize and complain.
Everyday. Everything. Our culture, our religion, our people.
Sad people.
Why are you here if you hate us so much?

I remember everybody complaining about the Russians in the glory days. Wait until the Indians come in numbers.
Run Forrest, run...
I work in hotel Patong part time before during peak season.
90% of Indians are no problem, like 90% of European, 90% of Russian, 90% of Chinese etc etcๆ
Every country have about 10% that we don’t want to come back. Each country make problem little different way.
Chinese because noisy and messy. Don’t care the rule. Steal small thing. But spend a lot shopping and for tour.
Russian don’t smile much, can only speak Russian. Hard to know if they complain or happy. Confuse the staff. But not too much problem.
Indian, there food smell a lot. Big group hard to control but family group is very nice and polite.
European bring the sex worker to the hotel. Make other guest uncomfortable Angry drunk and complain. But spend a lot in bar.
All groups sometimes a little smelly if not shower.
But 90% everyone is no problem, nice , polite, friendly and enjoy the holiday.
Every country is welcome to enjoy our culture and country if they polite. Our culture is make you feel welcome and enjoy.

Hello.
today my gang go to Longlair market in Phangnga
Is about 15 minutes from Khok Kloi on the road go to Phangnga Town
Free for foreigner to go. Have the local delicious product.
Best thing is that have no plastic waste!!!
The food serve in banana leaf, or cardboard container, even the soup. Paper straws, drinks in bamboo. No foam!!
For the plastic forks etc, have the Waste Station so it get recycled. The food waste make the compost.
Food is fresh and good, local durian, local seafood, local snacks.
Is under the shade of a palm plantation, so nice and cool. Mountain all around. Fresh air.
The stalls are made with leaf.
Have music also. No alcohol, good for the family.
It open every Sunday. All day. Good place to go. Everyone friendly.

Just teasing you, Yinn, trying to make you laugh. I am sure you're a nice woman. Have a nice day.It funny because it doesn’t really happen.
But this how the bargirl feel when they do it. So I think you know that they don’t enjoy the job, right? You understand that.
Poor Kenny think they should enjoy. It not natural.
Same if you guy must go with fat old grandma. You don’t want that, sure.

Actually I met my school teacher wife on Thaifriendly. Happy married now for 4 years. She owns vast tracks of land in Nan - invested her school salary - and employs people to harvest her stuff whilst living with me to help her family. She also goes out to work to help our income when needed , doing school work, office work - or even gate security at a push in an emergency. So, your theory is somewhat wrong.
However, if you said 99% are not decent I would 100% agree with you !
You lucky one.
ok 99% of internet girl. Not decent.
and 100% of bargirl. Not decent.

Sorry I just think that. The loser guy must pay.
If you not, maybe should try “dating”. Why pay if you dont need to? And can get better than dirty one.
2 hours ago, Kenny202 said:I think you're confused. Pattaya is about fun and girls selling a service to customers.
Yes, I confused now. You saying that now but your OP complain that say....
“ Girls in the bars were totally unenthusiastic, they'd be all sitting out the front on their phones and would barley look up. The only ones who were interested would be a couple of old girls..... Soi Nana bars have gotten to the point I wont even go in.....they are demanding drinks almost immediately....Refusal of a drink usually ends up in abuse. Management don't seem to control the girls in any way
a few friends go recently and were disappointed Most of the girls asking silly money, very much an up to you attitude......get back home and the girl has a bad attitude as often happens”
Sound like you angry and the girl rather play with the phone. I never go to Pattaya before but I see Patong.
Think it the same. The guy with the bargirl not really the handsome guy. Drunk, fatty ,old, like that. Not successful at dating.
The girl don’t enjoy, just for money.

Or in the bar.

Kenny, if you need buy girl from the bar, that means she doesn’t really like you. She only want money.
You expect her to enjoy??? I think you confused. The girl not enjoy with the drunk old guy. That is natural feeling. You expect too much.
If you can find the girl who like you really, not money, I think you will be happy more. Can not find in bar sure.
Money can not buy happiness or love.
