1kg fine gold cost almost $48,000 in early 2019, making 1.15kg worth approximately $55,200.
That would mean a return-on-investment of almost 55,000% (fifty five THOUSAND percent!!!) for each $98 share... and NOT 460 percent.
How on earth would anyone fall for such a scheme? What's wrong with people? Is it really just greed or is it indeed utter dumbness?
This is probably a Thai journalist that have made that equation. I am sure the percentage was not even written on the website, due to that gold price and value always change.

Yes, by all means. Do not live in the 21th century. You forgot to state that the best option is to sew the money into your matress in your home country, and then travel back and forth with it in your pockets.

My guess will be that the OP´s airline charged him one time too much for something, as he mentioned himself. That means they will find the error and correct it.

Did they ask for the search then ??
That was far stretched! On the other hand, dead people don´t ask. They can also not be held responsible to pay anything.

I know you like to amend the facts to fit your unique thought processes, but Creating a False Belief is illegal nearly everywhere.
To call friends to say they are having trouble getting back to shore, then disappearing resulting in a massive air and sea search and prompting relatives to fly in from Poland and other parts of Thailand would make them liable both legally and morally to pay costs.
Keeping a hire kayak is theft, not extension of hire.
Now, it will probably be found out that it is some other people that has been seen, and that they are still going to be missing. I also wonder if the phone call has been verified. Maybe they got into a discussion with their friends, and just not want to see them for a while. The friends goes crazy and starts all of this.
You just don´t know until the facts are on the table, do you?-

What in the world have IF to do with anything I posted?
And yes, I understand that word. Can be compared to "in case of".

Can you read English?
Yes, I can read English, thank you. However, do you consider that they will owe people a lot of money. If they have been camping all the time, they will be unaware of the search for them. If they are aware of the search, and just wanted to be left alone. Is that any act that can be considered illegal? Since when can you start charge people for wanting to be left alone?
Maybe you mean the rent for the kayak? Oooh! Then it will be 200-300 baht a day. Still not a lot of money to many people.-

So an increase of 200 baht per person for 2 million claimants is 400 million baht yet they are budgeting 4.8 billion baht? No need to ask where the remainder will end up.

Another fine representative for the Thai monkhood that includes everything from yaba and short time hotel visits to violent punishment and child molestation.
Off course it also includes the monks that are there for the right reason. It´s just strange that they can not stand up and create a system that works and sweep their front door clean from the evil roots that infests many temples.
