  1. Google tells me it's from the WHO website. https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public/myth-busters
  2. You can ignore that first pop up. The next page mentions 7 days, but then before the final submission it mentions 14 days again. Just things they've missed or got wrong when updating the website I think. As you've seen, many 7 day packages are available for October already and more are being added.
  3. But when Apple, Google, Amazon or whoever do it, it's a sign of moral bankruptcy in avoiding paying their way in society?
  4. It may be semantics, but I think it's relevant that the airline is just a conduit and the insurance is provided by AIG. Emirates even cover the country specific letter requirements (required for Thailand COE) in their FAQs.
  5. Here's someone just posted on a new thread who used it: https://aseannow.com/topic/1233940-emirates-airlines-covid-travel-insurance/?do=findComment&comment=16869972
  6. https://aseannow.com/topic/1206149-emirates-insurance-for-coe/
  7. Lapamita can say what he/she likes, and the qualification that it doesn't cover one way tickets to Thailand is accepted. I m not in the habit of making up stories to post on here and yes, I do know of people who have obtained COE and travelled to Thailand using this insurance. Another discussion confirming this can be read about here: https://aseannow.com/topic/1206149-emirates-insurance-for-coe/
  8. No good for one way that is correct, as it only covers you for 24 hours (?) after arrival. With a return ticket from the UK it can been used to successfully obtain a CoE. Cover can last up to ~ a year ahead on a return ticket.
  9. That could just mean they didn't know so took the easy way out and said no, or they knew the underwriters in your country wouldn't produce the letter as required. AIG in the UK have supplied on request and it's been accepted. In what country did you get the refusal?
  10. Not true. Others have used the Emirates' insurance. Non Thai insurance can be a problem if they won't supply a cover letter in the required format, but if Emirates underwriters in your country supply that then it's perfectly permissible for CoE.
  11. We'll have to agree to disagree. I think it could be an open house for scammers if there was a market, however I imagine that market will be small.
  12. Agreed. I travelled (not to Thailand) a couple of weeks ago on the 2 week anniversary of my second vaccination and was shltting myself that I'd be made to isolate on arrival. Only thought about it after booking my travel.
  13. Do you see the blue box and the form after clicking it, and if so what response do you get after filling in the details requested?
  14. But would not need to if the link directs you to the forged document stored elsewhere (the example of Google docs could be any storage accessible to all). Scammers misdirect people all the time to website lookalikes that'll get past a quick inspection, so as long as the forged document looks like what they're expecting to see, the chances are good (IMO) that they'll get away with it.
  15. It's not. It's referring to devices the poster uses that are connected to his Google acccount. For example I have old, no longer used phones listed as devices there as well as my current one. For some reason Google thinks his phone is not compatible. OP. A long shot, but are you logged in to your google account when you get the "no devices" message?
  16. Date of arrival I think - could make a difference if travelling from the USA.
  17. I agree that other governments don't trust Thailand, but generating a false certificate would be so easy. Knock one up using publishing software, put a copied/edited certificate on Google docs and create a QR code on the certificate you carry that points to what you want to see on Google docs. Here's a QR code I just created that points you to the list of semi commercial flights on google. Instead of the flights info you would point it to your fake vaccine certificate and you're there. Scan it with your phone and see.
  18. The proof is on the UK Government website where they list the approved programs. All others are non-approved. This may not meet your personal requirement of a written statement, but you don't prove a negative like this except by confirming the positive. It's not my opinion, it's the governments policy (rightly or wrongly).
  19. Try here: https://coethailand.mfa.go.th/regis/index?checkconfirm=true and click on the blue box.
  20. And 9 other regions. It's never 100% until people are actually in their hotels, but intentions are clear.
  21. I think they read or hear the news the same as all of us, and through experience know what to believe and what is hot air. The reduction in quarantine has happened and the elimination will happen. Will it be 1st November? At the moment it's a firm yes, but who knows what will happen in the next 4 weeks?
  22. You would almost think they were preparing for sandbox entries next month, which according to some is pie in the sky.
  23. An the "plus" bit is related to %age of vaccinated staff so if that's in hand there is minimal work required to go from SHA to SHA+.
  24. Yes. It's been mentioned by many posters that they can't get it to work and the developer has said an update is expected soon. It's not a "only in Thailand" issue. There's a couple of unofficial links going around to access the new version but if you're not in a hurry just wait until it's officially released.
  25. Even if they accept the authenticity (a basic developer could rustle up a copycat in no time) that's not what's currently in question. The UK Gov has said it is only accepting vaccines administered under approved programs. Thailand's program is not approved. It's not the vaccine going into arms that doesn't pass muster it's the vaccine program, which encompasses all stages including the actual jab. The medical infrastructure is only part of that program and there are lots of areas where Thailand could well fall short.
