  1. I sleep with a few married women recreation-ally, but am always polite to their husbands. Even give them cinema tickets, restaurant vouchers etc...Even arranged a security job for one in the family business. Important that the husband never knows lest he feel offended and spoil happy times. Victim was quite careless to advertise happy times to husband or anyone else.

Given your avatar, perhaps you could contribute something to the "Khon Kaen Man Kills Ladyboy" thread.

In Western civilization, he would apply for divorce, would never ever see his children again, but would pay child support unil they are 25 yo. The cheating wife would get half of his assets, and monthly alimony payments so that she can keep her former life standard and would not need to work.

More often, the cheated husbend would live near poverty levels. If he refuses to follow the court orders, they would put him to jail and confiscate his passport.

I don't know what part of "Western civilization" you hail from, but the above - except the last sentence - is certainly not the norm (in fact it would be so unusual as to be rare), in my neck of the woods.

  3. I look forward to the corroborating evidence that the deceased was taunting the murderer, and threatened him with a gun. Not just the murderer very conveniently saying that's what happened.

    Mandy Rice-Davies springs to mind.

It would also be illuminating to hear the murderer's wife's side of the story.

In the meantime, TV's macho men will continue to condone murder.

    God give us strength.

  4. I am using FF22, and W7 Ultimate

I can see the black box with the Youtube, and the red start arrow. But when I click on the arrow, the small amount of information in the box (video title, plus link and information symbols) just disappears, and nothing else happens ie the video won't play.

If I use the "switch rendering engine" function in FF to change to IE, the video will play.

    Any ideas?

  5. It seems the current restrictive conditions for tourists visas may have been dropped, or at least eased.

On 22 July the State Council appear to have promulgated new regulations covering a number of visa types, including "tourist".

L visa: for persons coming to China for tourism. The requirement of the draft State Council regulations that round-airlines tickets and hotel reservations be provided in every case has been dropped. (See Draft State Council regs at art. 9(6)). Nevertheless, visa agencies may require such evidence on a case-by-case basis.

    Good news - hopefully.

    Where do you start........?

Firstly, by quoting some actual facts, instead of BS you saw on ACA/Today Tonight, or gleaned from listening to one of the right wing Oz shock jocks.

Followed up by doing some background checking on the BS emails you receive (and obviously swallow hook, line and sinker) - as I did for the "Putin Duma Speech" when I received the same email.

Jack you get your information from where? A website? You have no idea who owns/runs the site or what their motives or intentions are. That's the problem with the internet, you can believe whatever you choose to believe.

How about Putin's official Kremlin website http://eng.kremlin.ru/transcripts - which is linked to in both the sites I linked to above.

I suspect that has far more credibility than an email you have received - probably from one of your equally Islamophobic mates - which, from memory, provides absolutely no source.

I think those who want to be seen with fuzzy faces, wearing robes and sandals do themselves a disservice by attracting attention.

If there have been dozens of atrocities perpetrated by muslims, is it not fair to give those dressed as, and appearing to be muslims, a little more attention? I think so.

I reckon anyone who looks similar to this guy should also be given "a little more attention".

    You would obviously agree.

Are you sure that the red shirts are a pro democracy movement? A survey was conducted of red shirts on what their movement was about back in late 2010, only 30% of them identified it to be 'democracy'. If I remember correctly 20% thought it was about bringing thaksin back and 30% thought it was about bringing down the then democrat government. and the rest identified a variety of other options. wink.png

In a similar survey of the general thai population only 15% thought the redshirts were about 'democracy'. Interestingly enough 10% of the general population thought the yellow shirts were about democracy.

The UDD just trumpets 'democracy' to sound good, its by and large lip service only, and those they fool with it are in a minority.

    Link?

  9. Sorry, double post.

That's OK - they were both nonsense.

Do you honestly believe the Thaksin-aligned parties are the only ones who hand out bribes?

If so, you need to get out more.

IMHO nobody would suggest that it's only the TRT and their reincarnations that buy votes.

    Did you read posts 34 & 35?

  10. Sorry, double post.

His posts wern't nonsense. Two of the other major parties - Banharn's & Newin's - certainly are no slouches were vote buying is concerned but the Democrats are not. Some individuals in the Dem party have done & maybe will do but it's not endemic within the party.

The difference is that the Democrats don't have a leader who is a corrupt paymaster.

    Spot on!!!

Abhisit would never compromise his morals or ethics whatsoever as his honesty and integrity are second to none out of all of the politicians in Thailand!!.

    Oh dear!

You have obviously never been to my neck of the woods.

It must be bliss living in Bangkok, or places further south, and guessing/wishing what happens in the heartland of Thailand.

I have just re-confirmed with an impeccable source that they all (including the Dems) pay for votes.

Shame on Thailand! Shame on Thai 'Elite' ! Because this University is their stronghold. Thailand is the Nazi Germany of the East.

    .

When facing ugly things in life many people choose a 'softer' target to punish. Call me an extremist, but I think a good shootout between the rival groups with a few dead and wounded would be much more 'educational'.

    OK.

    You are an extremist. bah.gif

OK. Fine by me, if you say so. To have a perfect harmony, why not say what are you?

Do you consider this incident a harmless prank of young silly kids?

Do you belong to those who say this is of no consequence?

Do you believe it is none of our business, so let them march to any tune they like?

Is all you are capable of - say that I am an extremist?

The next thing I expect from you is to say - "You said it yourself" ... very safe, very convincing and a very strong position at the trying times...

I think equating Thailand to Nazi Germany, and calling for a shootout between 2 education groups, is extreme, and stupid to boot.
