    Queue Time

Anybody know what time is best to get in line for a marriage extension queue number these days?
  2. Thanks for taking the time to share this official info here - well-appreciated!
  3. Just to cheer you up... I'm a foreign woman who was recently able to formally marry my Thai girlfriend at the Amphur. 'Wanna guess if I got the "no money in the bank required" exclusion for my visa extension? No cheerful stamp here either - blatant sexism, agreed!
  4. How absolutely refreshing AND helpful. Thank you!
  5. Once having gone through the paperwork (and praying it gets processed properly), what are the perceived or actual advantages to making this change?
  6. I would be hesitant to quote a price... Suffice it to say that my friend had it done elsewhere and his was double the amount I paid. You will find that Dr Wimon's English is perfect and her ability to outline alternatives and make recommendations based on sound experience is truly refreshing! Try a consult and make your own decision - no appointment is required for her clinic.
  7. For me, it was both. 'Truly amazing how much brighter the world looks afterwards - had no idea!
  8. 'Just had mine done by Dr Wimon who has been chief of surgery at CMU for the past 8 years. Although she performs more complex plastic surgeries at Suandok/Sripat, she did my eyelids in her clinic in ChiangMaiLand, just south of the Night Bazaar. Relatively painless procedure and after just over a week, the results have me wondering why I waited so long! Here is Dr Wimon's website. https://www.drwimonclinic.com/en/ All the best!
  9. Thanks for the correction - 'had no idea there was a difference!
  10. I used the one here https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/getting-married-in-thailand/ Feel free to DM me if you'd like some specific tips - good luck!
  11. 'Just wanted to acknowledge an exceptionally good experience in registering our same-sex civil union at the Amphur Muang Office earlier today. We walked in at 8.30 (sans appointment), presented our very complete paperwork and despite the fact there was a single officer to man the desks, we walked out around 2 hours later all sorted. From start to finish, everything was efficient and incredibly painless. Still stunned - kudos to the brilliant staff!
  12. 'Wondering if anyone has yet had success in converting their retirement extension to one based on marriage. Of course, this would be after having registered our same-sex union at the local amphur. I'm just completing the latter process and wonder what fascinating challenges may await in tackling the visa next...
