On the other hand it might help the child to get the "father's" nationality and passport...
I am busy with the procedure to get a Dutch passport for my daughter. For this I had to certify at the town hall in NL that I am really the father. They said that it doesn't matter that my name is on the birth certificate. I could also accept a child which is not my biological child. The only thing that matters than is that the child doesn't have another father. Because having 2 was not allowed.

I seem to remember reading, years ago, that a woman giving birth in Thailand can give any male name to be put on her child's birth certificate as the father, even without the knowledge of that man. I've always wondered if that is true.
Yes, read my post #9. You can even use a false name of someone who doesn't even exist.

Hi friends.
I have a sterling Bank account in Bangkok Bank and had to do the usual to open, passport, form filling etc. In Thailand only.
Originally they gave 4% interest, now they give 0% interest and charge 2% to put money in.
There is no means of drawing the money out other than by the book in branch.
I would imagine all banks have a similar attitude.
With Krungsri you can get a Visa Debit card that only works in Krungsri ATM's in Thailand. And of course you will get TBH when you use the card.
For everything there is a small fee, 1 % or so, not much. Exchange rates from TBH to EUR and back are often not the best. All these small charges add up, especially if you also do not get interest in the account.
Unless you really have very specific reasons to use this account (Like the OP) it is usually better to keep your money abroad in a real bank account in your home country.

Try to imagine how rich you could be if you were able to predict this. Put options on airline shares on the stock market could have made you a millionaire.
But instead, our forecasters sit in their seats, glad they got home on time.

Until the Russians finally came on the offensive
There is also another part of history which is neglected by many. WW2 was started by Nazi Germany and Russia together. In the Molotov-Ribbentroppact the criminals divided Europe in 2 parts, one part for Germany, the other part of Europe would be occupied by Russia. In September 1939 WW2 started when Germany and Russia attacked Poland. Unfortunately for Russia Germany was not a very reliable partner to commit crimes with. Later Germany attacked Russia too.
Russia was never a liberator, they fought for revenge.
Norway and Finland must be happy that the Russians left. Many countries were not so lucky. Many countries in Eastern Europe are still recovering from decades of Russian rule, exploitation and looting.

Really a lot of false assumptions.
I had a flight from Europe to Thailand March 12. Till that date Covid was a Chinese disease, it was far away. Transmission was only between animals and humans. That was the news at that time. I arrived in Thailand and was able to swim once in the swimming pool at our condo before it closed. In a couple of days everything changed.
I do not remember that even once in history countries closed their borders for a flu like disease, cannot remember that airlines ever before cancelled all their flights. But you say it coming? ????
Nobody could have expected this. The only problem are the people who say that they knew that this would happen and blame others for not expecting this.

I am 100% sure that when you see evidence it will still not be enough for you. You have made up your mind, it's all a conspiracy.
The evidence of Russia misbehaving everywhere is so overwhelming. From shooting down airplanes with people going on holiday, illegally occupying parts of other countries while at the same time denying it, interfering with elections, hacking attempts etc. But it's all a big conspiracy. It's all not true.

Nobody could have expected this. Not so bad. If you had told this story a year ago people would say that you are nuts. I also traveled in March, and there was some talk about a virus. In my home country this was even seen as "something Chinese". It was far away, and we would not be affected by this. That was the overall opinion. Till everythiing changed in a couple of days. I remember that I never even considered for a second that countries would close their borders and airlines would cancel all flights.

You have quite a few prejudices without knowing what's really going on. They could have avoided this OR they did it on purpose?

Do you already have one? If not you should first find out if you can open one from abroad. I remember I had to go there and had to make a first deposit.

I do get the feeling that you are seriously considering this. But try to imagine... A birth certificate is an official document. My girlfriend has it too, she keeps it like it is an important possession. This child will have no father in his/her life. That is already bad. And that "important possession" has the name of some strange man on it. Every time when he/she looks at it there will be the name of a stranger who's name is there only to get a visa more easily. It just doesn't feel like the right thing to do.

How did you get your name there? Did you have to give your passport or copy of your passport?
No... We carefully translated my name from Latin to Thai letters... Wrote that on a piece of paper, together with my birthdate and country. And that was all. My girlfriend told he hospital that the child should get my last name and gave them that paper.
My daughter was born in a hospital. They took care of everything. Probably they went to the Amphur. A week later we received the birth certificate from the hospital.
I was surprised about this procedure. I never showed them my passport. I never signed anything. My girlfriend could have given them a paper with a false name, and the child would get the last name of that non existing imaginary father.
The information about the last name for the child was also very confusing. I had read somewhere that my daughter could not get my last name because I am not married. But it was not a problem. Maybe because the hospital has arranged everything? Maybe it is different if you go to the Amphur yourself.

In the Netherlands I was able to get a 3 month visa in the Thai consulate with only a birth certificate. They did not ask for more than that.

They helped Trump to become the president of the US.
They interfere with elections in European countries, trying to steer the outcome in their favor (like they did with Trump).
And Russia has almost no allies in Europe. Most people see them as a treat, as the enemy. Which they are.

The website of the Thai consulate in the Netherlands says:
Special Tourist Visa (90 + 90 + 90) and Tourist Visa remain unavailable in the Netherlands due to the current COVID-19 situation which is clasified by the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand (MOPH) as high risk .
I think this will be the same for most European countries.

488 total price for 6 months ? how to get it please ?
My mistake, after the first month it needs 150 baht per month more.... https://www.lazada.co.th/products/sim-net-ais-4g-unlimited-4mbps-ais-6-i1024782990-s2270414842.html?spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.38.316d795a1QpZZP&search=1
Only True is left...
You can also look on Lazada, just search for AIS sim or True sim, it is possible to understand with Google translate.

Sorry i want monthly promotion, and pay by month, I don't want to pay 1 year ahead. thank you.
AIS has a package 4 mbps unlimited for half a year for 488 Baht. If you really want month to month you will pay that in 2 months. I see True has a package 4 mbps month to month for 200 Baht. But it's a bad deal compared to the yearly packages from True.

Don't you know that a retirement visa is of no use at the moment? You will not get access to Thailand now with a visa like that. Maybe that is also why applying will not work now. You can only get access to Thailand now if you have relatives, if you're married, for work etc. But not for retirement.

Also interesting that the "most deadly nerve agent on the planet" can be carried around in a water bottle, placed on doorknob, and nobody but "the target" get sick.
That's for sure not true.
"On 30 June 2018, a similar poisoning of two British nationals in Amesbury, seven miles north of Salisbury, involved the same nerve agent.[20][21] A man found a perfume bottle, later discovered to contain the agent, in a litter bin somewhere in Salisbury and gave it to a woman who sprayed it on her wrist.[22][23] The woman, Dawn Sturgess, fell ill within 15 minutes and died on 8 July, but the man, Charlie Rowley, who also came into contact with the poison, survived.[24] British police believe this incident was not a targeted attack, but a result of the way the nerve agent was disposed of after the poisoning in Salisbury" source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poisoning_of_Sergei_and_Yulia_Skripal
It seems very hard for some people to accept that:
1) Only the Russian government has access to Novichok
2) an attempted murder using Novichok automatically means that the Russian government is involved.
Creating confusion is something usually done by Russian trolls. If you can't win based on simple facts, then you're going to invent alternative truths to make people question what really happened. But the facts here are every clear.

hello, do you know any promotion this month ? thanks.
Lazada can help... If you search for AIS sim you will find offers.
4G 4 mbps unlimited for a year 1890 Baht
4G 100 GB a month at 10 mbps for 1650 baht
I don't see AIS unlimited 10 mbps anymore
Searching for true 4g sim...
4G 10 mbps unlimited for a year 1890 Baht
I don't see AIS 10 mpbs unlimited anymore. Unfortunately. If 4 mbps is enough, or if you can live with the 100 GB a month limit you can go with he AIS offer, if you really need 10 mbps you can choose True.

no proof
No proof? Several labs found Novichok in his body, something only the Russian government has access to.
The only thing to complain about are the sanctions. Merkel who showed to be pro Russian again and again in the past needed some sanctions without really hurting Russia. And that is what they will get, sanctions that will not change anything.

Extend True Move H validity when out of Thailand?
in Mobile Devices and Apps
Posted
TrueMove H – “Quick Add” Extend your validity for up to 365 days at a cost of 2 Baht per month
Press : * 934 * 30 # for 30 days extension. Cost 2 Baht
Press : * 934 * 90 # for 90 days extension. Cost 6 Baht
Press : * 934 * 180 # for 180 days extension. Cost 12 Baht
To activate roamiing: *112*1#
Unfortunately the above will probably not work outside Thailand if you do not have roaming.
You can try to call Truemove and ask them to activate roaming. If that doesn't work you can also use https://mobiletopup.com/ to put money on your card. Every topup is good for an extra month.
