    The Elegant ... ah, I see I didn't type fast enough 555

    Thanks but after reviewing

I don’t see the point in paying for hotel in BKK, and then going to Pattaya.

I won’t faff around next morning looking for a bus or cheap taxi

I’ll bite the bullet and get a test & go package North Pattaya, its costing me approx. 800 more, and I can hop on motor bike next morning and be home in a jiffy.

Its not my money I’m wasting, it’s my wife and daughters money, I’m just spending it before they do

I still don’t know what date I’ll be traveling as I’m having work residence visa issue here, but it should be before end of this month

If you're trying to book Test & Go in Pattaya for under 5000 THB then you're most likely sharing transportation.

Many hotels will offer private pickup for an extra charge.

I suppose it depends on how many are arriving same flight or same time.

We should ask the hotel about this, I’m happy to pay a little bit more for singular transport, but the question is how much more

I don’t see the point in paying for test & Go Hotel in Bangkok if you’re final destination is Pattaya, taxi prices are not as cheap as they once were.

  3. Most hotels will try any trick to cut costs, sharing transport is probably not allowed, but maybe the loop hole is car versus Mini bus, 2m spacing et, I shared my first COE back in Aug last year, it was a Mini Bus

I imagine standing at airport insisting on singular transport, and then being given the choice to pay extra or share, classic Thailand that feeling of being screwed for your money, “its up to you”

Maybe insist on singular occupancy transport before payment for AQ test & Go hotel

    @ThaiVisaCentre

My previous booking stated that my transport from Swampy to Pattaya was a shared taxi. This means if one of the strangers I'm sharing with tests positive, then I'll be forced into 10 days quarantine regardless of my negative test.

Is there a way to tell which hotels have individual taxi, or are all in Pattaya shared?

does your current booking mention this?

I did an COE last year and shared a Mini bus with one guy, but my other 2 COE entry's was single taxi.

I'm staying at the JW Marriott in Bangkok, so it's a big high profile hotel and I just went through all this with them and got my TP. They did not do this in the way you describe. I am sure they have their <deleted> together as far as working with Thailand Pass.

I booked on marriott.com, the big corporate web site isn't set up for Thailand Pass but I selected and paid for the special Test & Go rate that is specifically set up for Thailand Pass. I immediately got a reservation confirmation, but it didn't have the details for Thailand Pass yet. So it wasn't good enough for upload. But the booking was done first.

The hotel immediately emailed me and asked for a bunch of info, including my flight details.  They did NOT ask for a flight itinerary or receipt, they just wanted the airline, flight number, and arrival time.  I could have just pulled some info from any flight off travelocity or any web site.  In my case I used my real booked/paid for flight info but they didn't know that. I did not provide a flight reservation number.

Using the info I provided they sent me a letter on their letterhead that had all the Thailand Pass info, including the airport pickup, quarantine info, and the RT-PCT Test info at Bumrungrad Hospital. I uploaded this letter and it worked as I got my TP.

Bottom line: as far as I can tell, you don't need to actually book a flight, but I did.

You’re right about the flight details, I’ve already done 3 COE” s and the hotels needs your flight information to ensure they pick you up from the correct flight.

If I don’t pay for my flight, I can still send flight details, but I’ll need to make sure I can get on that flight.

    Thanks for your help

  6. As per below, it doesn’t mention flight tickets, do we have to upload them ??

    Documents for "Test & Go"

    ·         Passport

    ·         Thai Visa (if required)

    ·         Certificate of Vaccination

    ·         Paid AQ / SHA+ hotel reservation confirmation (for the duration of 1 day and including the fee for one RT-PCR test)

    ·         Insurance with minimum coverage of 50,000 USD

I got my "exemption from quarantine" Thailand Pass QR code.

I had submitted my application on the morning of the 4th and received it at 1:15pm Monday (Thailand times), so just over 4 days.

    Some details on my application:

I had no vaccine QR code.

I had booked the SHA+ hotel directly (all done through a Line chat with the hotel!)

    I bought my insurance directly.

I leave in two days. I don't know if that influenced the processing time.

Good luck to all who are still waiting. It was a relief to wake up and see the approval email.

From my previous 3 COE’S the time taken getting approval was influenced by the arrival date in LOS, so it can be done quicker than 7 days, but how quick, less than 48 hours is tight, my COE were 48hours for two of them.

I’m fairly confident the hotel can change the date, but NO refund

The flight can be changed also.

I’m not sure my date it could be 15-16 or 20-21 or 24 -25

I have insurance from previous trips so flight and hotel only.

The Thailand Pass is not a Visa !!!

Applying with the correct documents for test & go option & selecting the 1 night dates etc via AQ option is not fraudulent, there is no fake submission !

Some people are so wooden I now understand why they suffer so much with any bureaucratic hiccup!

    Sorry I disagree

Applying for AQ and expecting 1-night “test and go” is totally wrong

You should not, and cannot apply using this method.

Respect the Thai governments requirements, follow what they want, and don’t expect the officers to think out of the box.

You have to actually stay overnight I beleive (but you would have paid for it anyway). It was Green Park Resort Pattaya. Booked direct with them and their confirmation and email instructions for procedure at airport were very clear. I used Thai Pass which was issued at 5:45pm on Tuesday and my flight was for 11:50am Wednesday. Arrival in Thailand with TP was very easy.

would you recomend Green Park for a 1 night pit stop, can you tell me the times off

Edit your UK NHS vaccine cert to include your middle name & resubmit.

To put things in perspective I know a handful of folk who are facing issues & being forced to play silly buggers due to uncertain & contradictory circular requirements.

At least there’s the planB AQ option to fall back on if you don’t receive the response your resubmission (with edited NHS cert)

what do you use to "Edit" Programme or App?

don't waste any time or energy on this, move on with your life

at the very very end of this the OP will need to move out and find a new place, why not skip all the <deleted> in the middle and go straight to moving out and finding a new place.

I am very worried guys. I fly out on the 8th. I have applied as of November 1st which allows for the 7 days. I have applied countless times with no confirmation email and unfortunately no QR Code. Plan of action?

did you get an approved message once completed?

they normally approve based on departure dates, so you will be in a queue?
