  1. Btw, I don't think that running workshops/seminars is actually "working", despite what some clueless people say. It's more like a hobby or meetings of like-minded people. Do you need a work permit to do a hobby?
  2. Your assumption is wrong. I just wanted to clarify some things, that's all.
  3. Only in someone's schizophrenic mind. Look at all those answers in this thread. People are completely detached from reality and live in their own imaginary world - the definition of schizophrenia.
  4. "the charges of soliciting and conspiracy were filed against them" Not running a class without a work permit
  5. Not $300 anymore. Now it's around $600, as they require more papers, work permit, employment letter etc.
  6. I'm not gonna challenge your understanding of the English language. Suffice it to say that the English language is extremely rich and flexible.
  7. Well, one of the meanings of the word "job" is a location where you work. "I arrived at my job."
  8. Yep. Just like reporting Pattaya beach prostitutes. Police will be shocked when they find out!
  9. I don't care if it's technically illegal as long as it's widely tolerated. Prostitution in Thailand is illegal too, but who cares...
  10. As said above, there is a exemption specifically for seminars/lectures etc.
  11. Can I write my own book? That's 'exerting myself productively'.
  12. You mean giving them first class medical treatment for free after they commit terrorist attacks in Israel?
  13. Hundreds of people are doing that already in Phangan. Of course, every one of them has a work permit and a proper visa.
  14. Where do I say about MY interpretation? I said it's about the authorities' interpretation.
  15. It's the matter of interpretation what "working" means. And what is actually considered "working" by the authorities. Somehow I doubt that anyone running seminars in Phangan has a work permit.
  16. Why would I need an employer (or employees) to run my own workshop?
  17. Work is what you do at your job. A job is a place where you work. Any more questions?
  18. From my experience, it's mostly westerners who do that. Russians are a minority.
  19. I'm not going to report anyone. You think the authorities are so stupid and don't have a clue what's happening there? Or there are not enough "concerned citizens" who could report them?
