  1. Here's my two cents: The concept of Hooters in Thailand is not viable, especially in Pattaya, especially on Beach Road. There is no lack of available "hooters" already, so there is no need to pay for overpriced beer just to look at pretty girls in short shorts.
  2. This thread is gonna be epic
  3. Don't stereotype. I personally avoid Phuket for this reason.
  4. But it loosely applies even to the Russian passport holders. ???? Not every land border allows doing unlimited border runs.
  5. With visa exempt of course. Today I did my 4th land border entry in a calendar year (Satun). Before I had 3 in Nong Khai. I don't know whether it's my passport (Russian) that allows me to do that or the "2 land border entries" rule is not strictly enforced. Or maybe both are true?
  6. I have already done 3 land border entries in the current calendar year.
  7. Is it MP's job? I though they were supposed to deal with legislation
  8. Is it compulsory for everyone, even those who don't need a Myanmar visa? They don't harass frequent "border bouncers"?
  9. More and more previously "closed" countries are opening up, offering various kinds of visas for digital nomads, retirees etc. It's a global trend.
  10. Anyone did a single day border bounce there? Is it tolerated?
  11. I was questioned there too, but I've been in Thailand since 2020 on covid extensions and visa exemption stamps
  12. Border runs. Dozens of minivans going to the Malaysian border and back every day.
  13. Unless you are very big and heavy, a 125cc scooter should be enough for you.
  14. I've never seen 135cc scooters in Thailand. Most low-end scooters available for rent are 125cc (Honda Click, Scoopy etc.). The higher category is 155/160cc (Honda PCX, Yamaha Aerox, NMax etc.).
  15. I had the same problem at Ban Laem in November 2022. Was doing my first border hop after 2+ years in Thailand on covid extensions (the whole covid period, including the amnesty). They told me I cannot leave by land because "I was in Thailand too much". The issue was solved by contacting the superintendent's office: They promptly let me out (and back in of course).
  16. In Vietnam, it would not made news. It happens there every day, multiple times.
