  1. Have you heard of crypto? Plus there are online p2p services directly exchanging Russian rubles to Thai baht. It's really not an issue.
  2. A lot of them work online for their current Russian employers. Since the pandemic, online work has become the norm. The cost of living in Thailand is lower than in Russia, even including visa expenses. So most of them can stay in Thailand indefinitely without any issues.
  3. If you don't have 3000 baht for a monthly border hop, they you should really be kicked out.
  4. To be honest, there are not that many Ukrainians in Thailand at the moment. There are mostly Russians. The Ukrainians prefer taking refuge in Europe.
  5. In Russia, you need to break the rules before they break you! P.S. Trust me, I'm Russian.
  6. I would say most in the incel community are in their 20s. Elliot Roger and Alek Minassian are the most notorious examples.
  7. The problem is, a lot of incels don't wanna come to Thailand, as they think that poor Asian women are below their level. They dream of classy white girls that are unattainable to them.
  8. Unless you are on a police search warrant, you'll be fine. Btw, I'm a Russian war refugee too
  9. There are Visa/Mastercard rules and protections in place, too
  10. Facebook Marketplace.
  11. For such a known for its scams country as Vietnam, I would recommend using debit cards whenever possible, less chance of a scam. With debit cards, you are protected by a chargeback mechanism in case something goes wrong. With cash, there is no such protection.
  12. C'mon mate, I've been playing this since I was a kid
  13. The real game is when you're under 50. You can't just pay an agent 20-30k and be worry free. If you pay for an ED visa, you WILL be grilled upon entering Thailand and may be refused entry if they check your non-existent Thai skills.
  14. It's not a real "game". Just use the agent and you'll be fine for the rest of your life. Nobody's gonna grill you at Immigration.
  15. They don't know about agents? With an agent, you don't need the 800k.
  16. Okay, call this the ability, opportunity, whatever. The thing is, people over 50 don't need to "game" the system, as we younger folks do. ????
  17. There is an easy workaround if you want to be 100% legal. Make a 1 month rental contract, then cancel the contract after whatever number of days the guests want to stay.
  18. I am asking because some people over 50 really are frequent visitors, but don't want to stay in Thailand all year long. For example, some prefer to spend say 5 winter months in Thailand. Younger folks who do that, get routinely grilled at Immigration. Is it the same for people over 50? .
  19. Pattaya has always been a home for the desperate.
  20. But to be honest, if you want to stay in Thailand long term and are over 50, it is easier/cheaper to get a retirement visa than try to "game the system". If you don't have the 800k in the bank, use an agent, anyway it's cheaper than doing border hops.
  21. A "frequent visitor" is the one who gets told by Immigration "You come to Thailand too much". This can be any of the ones you mentioned.
  22. As we all know, frequent visitors often get grilled by Immigration at airports upon entering Thailand. But do they grill people who are over 50 years old and frequently visit Thailand on tourist visas? There seems to be little incentive to grill them because such people have the right to stay in Thailand as long as they want using the yearly retirement extensions if they wish so. But how is it in practice?
