Introduce whatever kind of tourist visa you want, wont make any difference.

The way immigration clowns are acting will only deter tourists.

With the baht being kept artificially high is just another way of sending tourists to other countries.

This so-called government have absolutely no idea how to run a country, tourists are put off by that as well

They are manipulating the baht same as they are manipulating the Euro, the Thai economy is really bad, and the economies arround EU member countries are bad as well. Something they have in common.

  2. This is the case for most westerners in Thailand as well, with a sluggish economy around Europe + a very weak currency exchange rate makes you have to really watch your money more carefully, back in the 2015,2014 I used to go out almost everyday, now I haven't been outside eating for probably 3-4 months since last time, and the last time I went to a bar is a year ago...

Since when did illegal count for anything?

It seems to me that most foreigners (not all but most) come to Thailand so that they can pursue illegal activities. drink and drive, no helmet, take drugs, vape, pay for prostitutes, smoke in restaurants and so on.

So why should the Thais be any different?

I do not know about condos, but I am paying 8 baht per unit plus VAT to the people that supply my electricity.

Nothing wrong driving without helmet, there is something called take your own decisions, but one must also take consequences of it.

Driving on red light, drunk driving, driving the wrong way, illegal u-turn, reckless driving etc etc that's a problem because it can cause problem for unguilty people.

I never had a accident in Thailand, been here more then 6 years, never had any problems with the locals, but I have had plenty of problems with local expats who complain to much, usually I only ignore them.

The state is literally the dump of America, state with most homeless people living on the street but also those damn <deleted> Hollywood <deleted> start living in expensive mansions, looks like a dump there, results when a state is runned by socialist who think they are experts just like most losers on this forum.

Maybe, but do you think the UK police is so easily fooled.. Just an other criminal Brit, not uncommon at all.

Yes the UK police are easily fooled same as the police around northern/Western EUROPE, they often turn a blind eye to crime committed buy migrants/Muslims etc, chil marriage, rapists, human trafficking etc etc, just look at France, Belgium,Sweden,Germany UK etc etc, those countries have become lawless because of political correctness, law and order is something of the past.

At first I was not happy that normal taxi drivers fight against Grab drivers. In the meantime I begin to understand them. They need to survive too. I know 3 people driving with their car for Grab in Pattaya. They earn next to nothing. There seem to be too many drivers or not enough customers for the existing drivers. The only winner seems to be Grab. They always earn their percentage of the fare.

They earn the whole fare, but they have to top-up their credit, so let's say a driver top-up 500 baht , that will let him drive and earn 2000 baby before he have to top-up again, so in other words a driver gets 75% grab takes 25%, not to bad.

  7. Democratic Europe, our granoarryand probably some of you older guys here parents fought for freedom, and now we see the Tyranny from Brussels ruine countries sovereignty, when countries sign up for the Soviet 2.0 aka EU it was all about trade, now it have become and anti- democratic union who force laws and rules on countries.

There is something called world trade organization, so no country needs those commies/bullies in Brussels. If a person belives in democracy and sovereignty then you can't be for EU.

Be thankful you are from a country outside of EU...

This is exactly what visitors have been doing by trying to take maximum advantage of the soft side of the law.

In most of the civilized countries stay of more then 90 days must be declared in advance and there are no border runs.

Must obtain a long stay visa in TH.

How many people move over to  retire in Switzerland or Norway etc etc? ????

Comparing countries where people retire to vs countries people moves to to work in is ridiculous.

And by the way you don't need a visa/ passport to enter Europe , millions of people from the middleEast entering europe every year.

And there are many options to live long term in Western/northern Europe, only getting a job/study will solve that.

It's not the first time a TVFM makes that comment, some of you thinks that only Thailand are for the married ones or the retired ones, one day they will go hard after you guys also unfortunately..

The abuse of tourist visa and Ed visa could be endedd with introduce similar visa as the retirement visa for those under 50, when you show you got money etc. as of now you will have to pay a big amount of money to be able to stay in Thailand for the elitevisa.

  9. The thread have turned in to bashing Thailand and Thais, until now I have never had bad experience with Thais, plenty of Thais walking by without yelling and a screaming, but some Western people are very aggressive, behave like somchai on yaba..

I sat on the Harley Roadster Sportster today - nice bike... Still stuck between being too busy and indecisiveness. I want to pop back to Ducati and test ride the Cafe Racer I felt I was too tall for, I'll also need to pop down to Triumph and take a look...    That thread (in which this was discussed) seemed to have ran its course...

I reckon you've just jinxed any new bike I get. As soon as I ride it a dog will run out and knock me off the thing !!! (something I've luckily avoided so far).

You are probably the biggest troll thaivisa

All quite normal to have varying discussions and opinions... makes for interesting reading, well, some of them anyway !!! ????

Properly trained and socialised dogs should not bark at strangers when they out being walked.

So what the OP is saying is that he can't control his dogs, and that other people need to put up with that.

If you don't know what you are talking about then it's better to shut up, just a tips.

If you want turn any dog into an angry, aggressive one, tie it up. it's just about guaranteed you'll get one!

The O/Ps dogs reaction is completely natural. A barking dog is not an aggressive one at all, it's simply sending out its message of territorial defence and warn off any potential threat.

I live in a small village with many dogs around. They have all got to know me and I never have any problems with any of them. But some folks are less understanding of dogs as we have seen from the comments in this thread.

@Totoandlilly perhaps you could try a bit of diplomacy by trying to introduce this hostile jogger to your dogs and let find out for himself that they are not aggressive. Also the dogs, in turn will learn that he is not a threat and may behave more calmly toward him.

That's an solution, but I have never seen him passing by here before, and I tried to talk to him but he wasn't interested, he behaved very aggressive, talking with himself sitting in he's car  long ti.e that was parked 50 meter down the street. He pass by again and was driving slowly.
