  1. Last 90-day report I mailed end of last month. Nothing yet. The one before that took 7 weeks for the papers to come back so I am not worried. At that time I did call the hotline after 4 weeks and they told me to wait longer because of a backlog of reports and said no worries of a fine if I had the postal receipt. So not sure where you got this:

If your slip hasn't been returned to you 30 days after due date, you need to go to  MTT and sort it out alòng with EMS slip and Thai Post screenshot of proof of delivery at CW.

    That's far from true.

    But here's some facts:

    Bangkok Post

    January 21, 2021

"Thailand's poverty ratio is expected to increase to 8.8% in 2020, up from 6.2% in 2019, before reducing to 8.4% this year, according to the global lender. The World Bank defines the poverty line at daily income of US$5.50 (165 baht) per person. ... This reduced the income of Thais," he said.

this is before the Third wave

As well as the little thing that people don't like being disenfranchised. Their chosen leaders keep being sent into exile or disbarred from politics because they don't bow to the army/families. The rice bowl maybe full but the feeling of being a pet animal that needs to know its place is one many will resent on principle.

This is the result of the perverse agenda of Thai Government, spreading fear

All Thais I've talked to are seething with rage at those in charge. More than incompetence as the cause of the current debacle they say it's corruption. The vaccine deals that were done and not done were to line pockets. "Sino give money, Moderna, Pfizer don't care give money. Poor Thai man die no problem."

They are probably right. The junta running the show wasn't put in place by the people so they give a rat's a*ss about the people. They know exactly who they are beholden to and whose welfare comes first.

If this horrible phase leads to some change in Thai politics (not holding my breath) then we might be able to look back at it with some satisfaction.

Are you able to find any info on where yesterday’s and today’s cases were located? I can’t find anything on it

Exactly. Mixing up data from different provinces says little. We need to look at the individual deep reds. If their case loads are peaking/declining then lockdowns are working. If not, we've a problem.

  5. Even stricter measures? If numbers in Bkk are dropping (do we have the breakdown?) then current measures, in fact, are working. Likewise other deep reds.

On the other hand if numbers are rising because of spread to other provinces then then the solution is a clampdown on interprovincial travel and quarantine for those who have traveled, not more lockdown.

And as a fellow above wisely observed the effect of any measure will only be evident after a couple of weeks. So reacting herky jerky to daily numbers is foolish.

    Province:  Bangkok

  7. From https://graphics.reuters.com/world-coronavirus-tracker-and-maps/countries-and-territories/thailand/

Thailand has administered at least 12,908,193 doses of COVID vaccines so far. Assuming every person needs 2 doses, that’s enough to have vaccinated about 9.3% of the country’s population.

The US is 60+% fully vaccinated, UK 50+%. So, give the Thais at 9.3% a break. They did fork up long ago not ensuring supplies. But they are doing the best they can now with crumbs from the table.

Full disclosure: I am signed up at PT2 for AZ and BumG for Moderna.

Uninformed old man. There's no call for bilateral reciprocity. E.g., UK citizens can come to Thailand visa-free. Vice-versa no. Depends on the circumstances.

The US is flush with doses so it's jabbing one and all for free and gifting other nations.. If there was a shortage you betcha there would be howls of disapproval if citizens weren't first in line.

Thanks for the reply? Can't seem to find your pinned post. Could you post the link please? Does the pharmacy you use for Otezla stock Acitretin? Perhaps you can give me the pharmacy name?

    My experience with DHL:

Try the link below for the Frank Ross Pharmacy in Kolkata. It shows the price of Aceret 25mg. at Rs. 599 for 10 caps.
