  1. Possession of a machine gun is generally legal in more than two-thirds of states, according to an analysis published by the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, as long as the gun was lawfully possessed prior to May 19, 1986, the day President Ronald Reagan signed a major gun law. Thirty-five states have “minimal or no regulation” of machine guns, according to the Giffords analysis.

Why on earth should I - or anyone - pay more tax as I have saved, worked hard and invested well or bought property, to support someone who either does not want to work, or wastes their money ?

What they should be doing in America is adding $2 on every pizza or burger to pay for the health care ! As I dare say most of the health budget is going on fat low earners !

Ah socialism. The rich pay for the poor....Nooooooooo. Equal opportunities for all....Noooooooo. Let them suffer and die. I'm ok....until I lose my job and insurance. Then the shoe is elsewhere....

  3. Tax paying...? All Thai nationals pay tax?p

as for voting rights, it is different everywhere. But, it does remind me of the three fifths compromise and re-districting going on in the US now.I

An MP represents Thai natonals, in a place that would have a small Thai population in relation to a foreign population.

For example, areas in Bangkok that have a relatively large foreign population to Thai population ratio. Money allocated without taking this into account effectively mpoverishes the area. By area, the MP would have a larger constituency compared to an area that has few foreigners. I understand the differences between representation and census, but the 2 are interdependent.

  4. Khmer. That's the word that's contentious. Cambodia, Thailand are both countries. Khmer is an ethnic group. Several people who I know are Thai nationals with Khmer roots. To be a Khmer dessert, would it not mean it was created by Khmer people, irrespective of where they were, or is a dessert identified by the country in which it was created?

Either way, there are far more important things to worry about than desserts and boxing.

Hopefully he will stop the dubious practice of the so-called "Visa Conversion" (changing the type of visa without exiting Thailand). All kinds of NON-O visas including NON-O Retirement and ED visa should not be available. If you want a Retirement Visa, you should apply for NON-OA in your country of citizenship. The same goes for ED visa.

Is it lawful? If so, what's the problem?

Not sure how old you are but better to dedicate your life to understanding and experience the power of the spirit rather than ridiculing.

That's the spirit in the bottle? Very powerful.

By contrast we know the current balloon was first spotted in Montana. It was shot down over the Atlantic.  That is a distance of 3,700 KM.

The question in my mind is: If the package was the size of 3 busses, as I seem to recall was reported in UK news, why was it not spotted earlier? It made Alaska and Canada....

Went to the post office for the Western Union solution, but found that sent the amount into an envelope using EMS was cheaper. Matter solved, thank you to everyone for the help.

I hope you deducted the cost of envelope and postage....
