I agree, the recommended amount is way more than I need. In fact it would not be absorbed even with extensive rubbing it in. I have found the less expensive difelene to be just as good as Voltaren, I believe the ingredients and concentration is the same.

Topical diclofenac, (Difelene) and ibuprofen tablets work fairly well for me. But after reading here will be trying naproxen.
