I notice the guy in sweatpants has the recognized signifiers of wealth, intelligence and success: multiple large tattoos. I keep reminding myself that heavily tattooed individuals are probably richer, more intelligent, and more successful than I am. as I have been told on AN. In the US poor kids (way back when) liked the uniforms cuz they didn't have to be compared with others. My friend hated having to go to school in clothes her mom made. I don't know how many feel that way here.

"Don't know much about Thailand", so your subjective opinion decides who knows what?. I know my experience, I live here and work here and as I said Thai people smile at me every day. So your experience is different? There could be many reasons for that; might not have 100% to do with Thai people. Check out Schoggibueb's post.

Don't know if this is a phony post but... Thai smiles, I see them every day. If no one is smiling at you the reason may be your dynamic and vibe with others.

I have never noticed what you have seen. Maybe it's you. Above and beyond personal hygiene maybe you just have a vibe. I'm assuming you are not wearing a tin foil hat. There are so many subtle ways to be creepy, possibly you have mastered one or more.
